I'm not afraid of casual because i AM a casual and what I am afraid of is to be left behind because i don't have enough time to grind. With all the gaming hours given to me, i'm not even full 90, so the gap will only increase if they don't cap something, the casuals will be left behind because they will still have to get to 70 to be able to get to 90. But now, they have to do 70 -> 90 -> 110. The time to be able to enjoy engame for casual will increase if there is no cap to give em time to be on the same page as endgamer and have the same fun.

Bottom line, how can casual feel sentiment of accomplishement when they have JUST reached ilvl 90 and SE says, no, no this is all for nothing, continue the grind forrrreva.... I know this is how MMO works and you gotta give those hardcore gamer some meat to chew on but give some kind of accomplishement to casual too

You were never a "casual player" to begin with. True casual players log on for various reasons, most of which has nothing to do with subscribing themselves to a daily grind. Casuals derive their own enjoyment and sense of accomplishment working at their own pace within the game doing various things outside of the scope of difficult dungeon runs. That might mean logging on for a couple of hours to level up a few times, or log on to craft or farm materials. The casual player will also do difficult dungeons or battles for items, but it's not their top priority with each passing day, unlike a loot gear-oriented hardcore type of player.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure the casual demographic isn't even that far past ilvl 70 yet, and if they are getting myth, its certainly not enough for a piece of gear every week.

I would say the majority of people are ilvl 90 on 1 job. If you look around say mordona you see a bunch of people with full ilvl90. With the myth change we can gear up everything to 90 if we want in 2.2.

Yep, casuals get enjoyment from the game from working at their own pace. People say these changes are for the casuals. This isn't what the casuals want. A casual player that is just getting to CT doesn't want their current progres invalidated by a new patch. That is SE dictating the pace a casual may want to play at. The assumption seems to be that casuals want to be pushed to the top when for the most part they are happy with slowly progressing. I have never seen a casual player complain that they are progressing too slow, that is why they as a "casual" in the first place. Just because a player wants to take his time doesn't mean he doesn't want a challenge in the game. This is SE telling the casual players they better catch up if they want to enjoy the game at all.

casual player: logs on, does very little raid wise beyond entertainment, does the other content that hardcore refuses to look at. (unless your me, which is log on --> go to nearest bed in FC house)

Nope. You could get full ilvl90 without even touching Darklight or Crystal Tower gear.... AK/WP and all the hard mode dungeons give myth tomes. None of those require you to be ilvl70. Yes ilvl70 gear will make it easier to farm but its not holding anyone back, And to further this with Myth caps gone it makes all ilvl70/ilvl80 gear obsolete. Relic gear is the new Darklight in 2.2. So everyone better to be ready to see ilvl90 only for everything.

Until the next set of Coil is released with even higher tier gears in probably 2.4 since they're going by 2.2 coil, 2.3 CT, 2.4 Coil, 2.5 CT, and so on.

but with 2 year per expansion plan we will probably see CT finished before 1st expansion is released which would be around 2.5 or 2.6.
