Well, in 2.3 then a new CT will be introduced... basically, the game is back at pre-2.1, with Myth as the new DL and these new tomes as the new myth. Crafted gears will be expensive for the first few weeks then their price will drop again.

While I thought this at first, they could easily just increase the amount of Myth you get from it, thus making it worth actually going through for anyone who isn't just zerging through. Free i80 gear along with a lot of Myth would be a pretty good deal for them.

And HEAVILY implied when you finish it the first time. We arent even actually in CT yet, Just the outer defences.

CT has always been for the more casual players or for people playing catch up to the hardest content which is coil.

Actually it was originally supposed to be the hardest content untill they released coil, and due to technical issues was released later than coil.
