    Still patiently waiting for the Chocobo reset

    I dont understand how it could be so incredibly hard to code - reset the skills and grant that same amount of points to the player so that they can be spent again. No other parts of the Chocobo need be altered.

    If you have spent 5 points and have gained 2 tank, 1 damage and 2 healer skills, applying the ''reset'' would simply remove those 5 abilities/bonuses and grant that many as available to be spent.

    Why is it that hard to implement that they need to take 6 months (so far) to add and yet we STILL have yet to even be given a date even in the remote distant future???

    Last I heard (which was admittedly a while ago), they were still debating on an actual reset or if chocobo breeding would be the workaround.

    I could name a dozen people off the top of my head who are eagerly awaiting a simple reset because they made a mistake between the time they began (and didnt know any better) and the FOTM knee jerk reactions months later.

    And i dont know all that many people in this game.

    If their plan is to fully implement the reset feature as part of the breeding program, then in the meantime they will piss off a great number of people demanding such a simple fix. We have ZERO indication when Chocobo breeding will arrive and therefore the Chocobo skill reset feature.

    THe chocobo reset feature was never confirmed. Although there is significant possibility they will go ahead with it, it's premature to get your hopes up that it definitely will happen

    I think more of the issue is to do with the barding you get for putting all your SP into one role - because SE never actually stated that was the way to get the Job barding, and the fact many players (like me) instead min-maxed their chocobos to have all roles while excelling in none, it effectively prevented us from ever getting that barding. The point is if players had known in the first place we would never have min-maxed them and chosen a role accordingly. So asking to have our chocobos reset is kind of a way of compensating for this shortfall. If my post has come across as bitter, I'm really sorry, as I'm not angry with SE, as it was just an oversight on their part. But sadly, it's left a lot of players stuck.

    Well it takes way too long to level one to rank 10 once as it is... The only issue I can see them having is, that you get a special barding set at rank 10 if you focus on a signle role. If you got that barding, and then respecced twice you would have all 3 sets, and maybe they want you to only have one of them. Honestly, given how many mounts,etc are practically given away all the time I do not see why this would even be an issue either. I have my chocobo at rank 7 now specced out as full attacker role, but recently decided I'd much rather have the tank barding set as I like it's look more than the DRG set the attacker role gets. Either way it's almost a non issue since I'm usually either on my gold magitek or behemoth.

    Mostly it just doesn't make sense why players can repec with an item, and yet the chocobos can't.

    There are issues with the idea of re-specing the Chocobo attributes.
    If we can simple reset our points like using a company reset option, then all of the unique barding becomes pointless.
    There's a sense of achievement in getting to 10 and unlocking.

    #1 Reset everything to L1 = Bad for players who got Level 10 and went 3:3:4 in the stats.

    #2 Attribute reset item/1-time option = unique barding becomes less 'valuable'. Someone who got 10 ATK and switches to WHM insta-free barding.

    #3 Turn each attribute tree into it's own job making 3:3:4 Levels instead of 10 overall. - Hurts players at L10, but not as much as returning all to L1.

    #4 Make them resettable attributes, barding costs 30k per piece.
