Eh, I was getting ready for a morning Ultima bashing party myself. At least it happened before we all got in.

Certain ISPs? Looks like everyone to me!
got dc (error 9000) then errors 2002/6001/5006 trying to reconnect to the Aether data center. Tracert shows there is an issue with on of level 3's routers in Montreal. SE needs to get this escalated through their NOC, but we can report this to our ISP's also.
try running this test and past your results to help SE get this taken care of
to run this test on windows
1. open your start menu
2 in the search box type "CMD"
3. open the command prompt
4. in the command window type "tracert x.x.x.x" where x.x.x.x is your server's ip address

Due to the dynamic nature of routing, it may take multiple attempts to get the bad result to show.

best bet look at http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/news/category/4
Seriously how hard is it to stabilise the servers, it's 2014, not the 90's? Seriously, people we pay MONEY for this!
Man I am really getting tired of this shit...... they announce the maintenance time and they cut it off early and they didn't tell ANYONE a god damn thing... AND of course there is NOTHING on the forums in the form of an official post stating WTF is going on... I would not give a shit if this service was free, but I pay for this as well as many other and I expect a live update with what you are doing to interrupt my time to enjoy said service and god damn it, I want to know why. If you needed to start maintenance early, then fine, at least have the common decency to tell your community WHAT YOUR FKING PLANS ARE INSTEAD OF HAVING US SITTING HERE FOR 2 DAYS WONDERING!
If they aren't going to keep their servers running smooth, especially since these are old issues coming back to haunt us they should at least give us something for our wasted time. We are paying for a service that isn't being provided for us, customer service 101 if you screw it up then make it up to your customer so they keep coming back.
