Forgets to turn on Shield Oath and wonders why I lose aggro so easily.

Last day turn 5 attempts before the reset. About 15 attempts in, OT grabs adds, I pull twintania like usual. We get almost to dive bombs then my OT asks if I had shield oath up. Turns out I had no oath up, yet somehow held hate and lived through every death sentence, then we proceeded to fail miserably to dive bombs. Eventually beat it though roughly 2-3 attempts later.

The first or second time I tanked Brayflox while leveling PLD I pulled the group of mobs before the bubble boss, I didn't realize that one of the pugil patrols aggroed our healer. I saw the healer's HP drop and I went into full on WHM mode (my main job) spamming cure. I lost hate and it was a facepalm/headdesk moment for me. 3 of us died and the BLM with us managed to escape I think (somehow, I think he or she was focusing on the pugil and killed it without touching the mobs I pulled).
It was my first time tanking for a party was last night and I did exactly what Kenka said in Copperbell mines. I figured "I'm a strong tank now. I can let this bomb explode and still survive."
Wrong....
Dead wrong.
Really embarrassing
I'm tanking the giants in CT, on the third giant in my war. At around half his HP I notice behemoth starting to use his signature move, whatever it's called, so I automatically turn and head towards a comet to hide, it was instinctive since I had done CT many times, only half way towards the only comet left standing I realize that I had a mean looking giant I was supposed to be tanking, only I was a little too late since I had just took the giant to a mass of terrified dps/healers with distorted look on their faces looking at me, and the giant behind me who was starting to cast his frontal cleave attack, resulting in a 90% wipe. Myself obviously and deservedly included. I watched from the dirt as the rest of the remaining alliance barely managed to down behemoth, as well as the usual not too friendly comments so typical of a CT run. I figure I deserved it since I probably should have just kept the giant away and died with him, lol..

No, blame the DPS for being so freaking slow in killing the giant.Really embarrassing

Like, WHAT? Behe casting Meteor and the freaking Giant still up? Pfft...

For my own CT story, it was my second run in, the first Valefors. The first run I did was just a giant Cluster bomb for me at that point on my screen (good run, just me needing to learn things). I had done Amdapor before and shoulda realized that Valefors had a back cone...but I didn't. Not sure if anyone got wiped from it but luckily someone who knew what they were doing got it off me before I took down to many.
Also, yes, I took a Self-Destruct to the face in Cutter's Cry. Learned my lesson that day.

Constantly deactivating Defiance in the heat of battle as WAR, and losing a built up Wrath I was just about to use to let rip with Steel Cyclone. I ended up having to move the ability on my hotbar it got so bad.

CT last night. First trash. We were killing all the elementals when someone wandered a little too close to the Valefor, and it walked right up to where everyone was. So I grabbed it and quickly turned its tail away from the raid. Meant to drag it away after a combo or two just to make sure I wouldn't lose its attention halfway. But I didn't even notice the poison had come up, so "a combo or two" was just long enough to kill me.

During my first time tanking King Behemoth, our first wipe wasn't a derp on my part, but one of my healers died because the OT couldn't hold aggro on the Iron Giant for some reason. Needless to say, I soon die because nobody else is healing me. The other tanks chime in that I'm 'undergeared' as an i79 WAR, but the OT took responsibility and everyone got over it.
Second time around was entirely my own derp. When King Behemoth readied his second meteor spell, and I saw the meteor explode and rushed forward to keep him in position. Unfortunately I failed to notice that, while the visual effect had happened, the comets hadn't registered the damage yet, and so I killed myself by running headlong in the blast. I explain my mistake, and get chewed out by the other tanks (although I liked this other team's healer who basically said, "Four tanks doing nothing and none of you thought to grab KB lol").
