Ken come over to Hyperion. Theres a chair with your name on it. :P You can also sit in Skinwalkers spot while he is down at the bar.
But yea, what Skin said. Bring Open World Endgame back where everyone from the fc can paticipate.

Well time sink difficult doesn't equal challenging, it was basically a necessary game design back when everyone was still using dial-up to connect to the internet. The reason people voted for instance battles and no claim system was because we didn't want to deal with the end game drama of FFXI.
"9. If the current target claiming system were done away with, would you be in favor of a system that rewards skill, experience, and loot only to the party that first deals damage to an enemy? Or would you be in favor of skill, experience, and loot being distributed amongst all parties that contributed to an enemy's defeat?"
"10. If the current target claiming system were done away with, would you prefer for content such as dungeons and battle to be converted into instances as much as possible?
* "Instances" refer to those events and areas that can only be occupied by a single party, or certain characters, at once. This serves to prevent players from competing with one another for the same enemies, for example."
I'd love to see these polls redone now that people understand that these two questions equal instanced or FATE everything and nothing in the open world. I bet we'd see a dramatically different response.

The Tuesday chair I like it lol.
I actually made a 2nd character to have things to do After my group did 1-4 Monday (besides our T5 attempts of course). Then yesterday soon as I got done with 1-4 our other FC group asked me to come do 1-4 on my bard cause theirs was mia..
-_- Both chars done with BC on day 1 damnit
Not to mention those polls aren't exactly the same thing.
The 1st one asks IF the system is done away with not "do you want it to be done away with"
The 2nd asks what basically amounts to "hey if we don't let you claim mobs in anyway and someone could just roll by and take your shit would you prefer to be some place they can't do that?"....... well DUH. That's why the overriding answer to these 2 questions would be "leave our claim system alone"

I've just read an entire thread. Good read. The fact that there are people who want no diversity and grind the same dungeons over and over again then do nothing for the rest of the week is mind boggling.
I totally support this! Something like Ahn'Qiraj in WoW, where entire server needed to contribute to the war effort just to open the gates of a raid. Good times! Friendships are made when working together. They really need to do something to get people out of the duty finder and interacting with others on the server. The duty finder is pretty much the root of all of the social issues this game has right now.
Maybe some kind of locking mechanism that the entire server needs to work on to open up which then opens another end-game instance. It only stays unlocked for a period of time after being unlocked then it starts over again or you could setup something that allows you to extending the unlock by achieving certain goals
Yeah I can't tell ya how many DF pts I had where no one spoke a SINGLE word .... Personally for me its pt-finder > DF ... One big plus of an open word content is ofc
that you could come with w/e number pl players. Its a really shitting feeling when we are doing our FC runs and 22 ppl are online and 6 of them have to sit out because
we are FORCED to do it with 8 ppl ....
I'd love to see the polls redone now as well. Shame a MMO has been reduced to a lobby game so far.
Lets hope they can show us something that they are working on for the future because it looks like we aren't getting anything different regarding end game variety in 2.2.
