Would it be possible to give apkallu the same treatment that the sheeps got in Coerthas?
Apkallu are only on one area, limited in number and their eggs are required for so many cooking recipe.
Thank you

There are leves you can do at Costa del Sol with Apkallu in them that also drop the eggs. Not as many in them, of course, but they're yours and only yours.

Oh wow is that why there is such a high demand to farm them? XD
I was wondering why there were usually 10 people fighting for the birds in Costa Del Sol. Last I saw they weren't that expensive on my server so I've never tried to farm them for profit. Haven't checked in a while but last time I sold some, they went for 250 a piece.
I like the idea, but then those that try to cook for profit are going to be sad. However though, it would start to cut down on bots since the items will no longer yield a profit for them to profit. Also, do the same for night milk, starting to see a trend of bots starting to farm them.

I am opposed to this.
I do not farm them, BUT SE adjusting drops and putting once harder to farm items on NPCs is the main cause for the economic disruptions we have seen. If I had my way the NPC should only sell mats that you need to get to level 10 in any crafting and let the players (Land and hand) provide the rest.
Why even have DOL and to some extent DOH if every time someone needs a mat and either has to by it or find it in the wild complains and SE just puts it on a vendor?
More than one spawn/drop location for any item I can get behind and agree with.
p.s . Bot are not really a big deal, you can mess them up big time but hijacking the agro and resetting the mobs. And then report them and hope SE does what they have said that the would do in the past and ban-hammer them.

There's a bot on my server named Mirabelle Goodea, and my fc has dedicated a linkshell to having fun tracking her down and killing her. She's been reported literally hundreds of times for botting and is constantly flooding the market with materia. Don't count on SE to be bothered with the ban hammer, as they've obviously got more important tasks on their mind.I am opposed to this.

A lot of the arguements I've seen go either way, some want the drop rate for rarer items increased because they don't want to spend time having to farm for the item and they've won more times than not with SE going overkill in their attempt to appease these people. Some people don't want the drop rate increased because the economy in FFXIV is pretty well screwed in a lot of servers because of bots farming every item that sells for more than 100 gil to the point that the prices plumet to single digits and players are very limited on what they can farm for profit these days.
For my part, I'm going to have to side with someone else who suggested that, rather than increase the drop rate or size of drops, increase the number of places it can be farmed. Since the complaint is in the forums now, and SE does so enjoy trying to appease every person who cries "this is too hard" they will probably do the same as they did with diremites or fleece and increase the size of the drop which does not fix the problem that a lot of people have with this, which is that they're having to compete with bots for a small number of mobs.
A tank can easily pull a bot away from a mob by aggroing that mob, but a lot of players cannot do this because often times, the mob dies too fast to draw aggro for healers or dps. Myself, since I have no current tank classes, the best option I have for competing with bots is getting a tank from my fc to come move the bot or using insta-cast abilities to get aggro before the bot can.

Can we just get a new Disciple of Land already? Scavenger, or something. Rather than Nodes showing up on rocks/trees/bushes, unique enemies spawn when it uses it's equivalent to Triangulate/etc. A Docile Dirmite spawns where Dirmites are, lets you harvest web, a Fresh Adlgoat lies dead and lets you harvest skins/horns, Apkallu Nest you can steal eggs from and sheep you can sheer...
Please? I really dislike having to murder sheep and apkallu...

Back when La Noscean Toast was only starting to be a number one demand food, one of my PLD friends was farming those for himself from time to time and also selling to the markets. So he said why can't be there some sort of Apkallu nests where, let's say Botanists would be able to harvest a set amount of eggs, just like with the Crawler Cocoons or Darksteel Ore etc etcCan we just get a new Disciple of Land already? So this idea of having special sort of "wilderness nodes" is actually good and completely possible to implement. Also has common sense
You should rephrase this statement. You should say "Would it be possible to spam more Apkallus in different locations rather than increasing drop rate percentages/quantity? I don't want to destroy Eorzea's economy, I just want to compete and have fun while doing so!"

More spawn points for Ornery Karakuls in Coerthas were added. That's the similar treatment I would like to see given that apkallu eggs are required for 7 of the level 40+ cooking recipes. They are artificially scarce and camped by botter, restricting access to the rest of us.
