I have a few 50s and i am working hard on goldsmith which i have been since release and it is hardwork, it would kill the game for me and like others have said it is a bad idea....some people have actually worked and stuck with this game even when it was in a worse state than it is now!

Moving forward, I wonder how many players would either quit or restart the game under any number of the following circumstances?

• Fundamental changes to storylines and missions (changing existing cut-scenes and mission objectives)
• Changing/splitting of DoW and DoM classes. - (ie. Conjurer becomes 'Healer' and a new 'Elementalist' class is introduced)
• Changes to DoL and DoH classes. (ie. 'Boneworker' class introduced and corresponding recipes from other classes are lost)
• Radical changes to class roles - (i.e. Archer loses any ability to effectively solo)
• Large-scale changing and elimination of some job abilities - (i.e. removal of all healing abilities from PGL)
• Change in the way abilities are attained (ie. all spells are lost and must now be quested or purchased)
• Class restrictions on armor and weapons - (i.e. GLD can no longer use Daggers or Scimitars)
• Elimination and changes of certain bonuses on armor and weapons (even untradable ones).
• Introduction of new level-up bonus point system
• Elimination of certain abilities purchased with Guild Points and the introduction of new ones.
• Removal of select aetheryte points or of the anima system entirely
• Long-term delay of level cap increase
• Introduction of new races and character customization options

If players can stick with the game through any or all of the above, then perhaps a reset might not be necessary after all.

This is the stupidest idea I've seen in a while. This wouldn't get rid of botting or RMT. In fact I'd not only bot back the classes taken away from me, I'd bot the rest to 50 to compensate for the time that wasted. Either that or quit and never touch another SE MMO.

Alot of these issues is the devs already said they are not going to change so speculating on it is sorta pointless.

But the issue is I have put in a ton of work, and honestly nothing less of SE outright paying me for my time played, around 1200 hours so far, will be acceptable. and I doubt SE is going to draft me a check for around $24,000. That is what I trully lost playing this game... even though it is free I could of been working in RL and earned around that amount of money so choosing to play this game I lost that. I am fine with it, but if all my work is forcefully stripped from me I want what I lost by choosing to stick with the game.

Most people are playing now because it is an investment into the game, we who are playing will have an advantage over those who are waiting for it to be fixed we will have characters leveled up for the content already, we will have craft/gathering class to get rich of the new people joining. There is not 1 person playing the game that I know that is truly happy with the game atm, there is alot that love elements of it but as a mmo it is fail there is simply not enough here yet.

As soon as SE calls a reset they lose nearly all their playerbase including a ton that are "waiting".

A reset in a mmo has nearly the same effect and shutting down the servers.

Zan your whole list there of what about these... Honestly they could remake the game from scratch and I would still demand what I have worked for in the prior game. Me and Most the other players playing would demand that we lose absolutely none of our progress. They change thm to Whm so be it... I am instantly a capped whm change glad to pld I am instantly a capped pld (they are sorta doing this anyways). They change crafting class's leveling system say Gold from a class to like XI, if I am 50 gold I am instantly 100 Gold. If they add new crafts they are new crafts so be it. Everything must be = and everything must be equally earned.

you're either jealous of others being 50 and you not or,
you're plain stupid.
wipe so we all can start at zero again and stop RMT & Bots, i didn't laugh that hard in a while.
i'm sure of one thing tho, if they'd wipe us, there'd be more bot & rmt activity then ever, guess why lol.

I for one am very jealous of players who are willing to trudge through a swamp of shit for 50 levels. I bet it was really fun.
