New area speculation for 1st expansion

Sadly I doubt Radz-at-Han will be released in 1st expansion since it is located on another continent.

From this map and how 1st Expansion will be more focused on releasing the rest of Eorzea giving us access to all areas in Eorzea...



I'm expecting to see

- Sharlayan - since 2.1 story has set in motion events that will require us to go there to discover the fate of the Circle of Knowing since we have lost contact with them in 2.1.

- Ishgard - since we have been promised this place and that current Main storyline is building up to the opening of Ishgard's gates.

-Ala Mhigo- With all of Eorzea finally united in 1st expansion storyline we can finally make the final push to kick the Garlean Empire out of Eorzea and retake Ala Mhigo. The City-States have already claimed all Castrums in Eorzea and the Castrum guarding the path into Ala Mhigo is currently under the Twin Adder and Sylph ally control. Not to mention with Ala Mhigo being the last of the Garlean Strong Hold in Eorzea we may see a new Imperial Legatus appear in Eorzea to finish what Gaius started since we have proven to be a threat to the Garlean Empire with the defeat of Gaius Van Baelsar and his XIVth Legion.

From this point we may see 3.X main story build up to the path into the Northern Continent where the Garlean Empire and Far East (aka Radz-at-Han) is located while intorducing a few new City-States, Beast Tribes, and New Primals we have yet to meet.

Actually the Circle of Knowing was just the name given to the Archons in 1.0. The group no longer exists as it was disbanded when the Archons joined up with Minfilia's guild of Echo-users the Path of the Twelve to form the Scions of the Seventh Dawn after the Calamity (because they had lost their leader Louisoix and decided they could help the city states better by allying with Echo users). But yes, contact with Sharlayan has been lost - from what I understand it was attacked by the Empire and destroyed. But nothing is known for sure other than contradictory dialogue in both 1.0 and ARR.

Well we will still need to go there due to Story reasons currently. The information we need about the White Acsian is currently located in the Circle of Knowing and it is mentioned by Minfillia that the place is heavy defended and only way to get past those defense would be the similar power the White Ascian has.

Also, it was not the Garleans that attacked the Circle of Knowing but the Acians. They may have placed spies in the Circle of Knowing with similar powers like the White Ascian which would explain how they got around the defenses and attacked the place directly from the inside.

Despite the change to become part of the Scions the Circle of Knowing still maintained their name and served as the Scions of the Seventh Dawn main headquarters and to provide information about ancient knowledge before it was attacked. They may exists in 2.0 now because of events during the 5 year gap between 1.0 and 2.0. 5 years is enough time to rebuild a place after all and from what Minfillia said it had quite the strong defense that was designed to hold back any invaders from the outside. However, the weakness in those defense was the inside of the Circle of Knowing.
