Point is, if you don't want to run into a bunch of new players then don't use the DF at all. Use the PF. If you're using the DF, at least have the courtesy to give it a few HONEST attempts before initiating a abandon. If it is really a waste of your time, you shouldn't have DFed to begin with.Lol. If people are wiping within the first 5 minutes I don't wanna waste my time. There's no way that party will make it through the fight with just "practice" from that one run. I've been in way too many hopeful practice parties until the timer runs out to know that it never works.

But sarge! Its too hard to form a party! It takes too long! What I want is an insta-win button! None of that crap!Point is, if you don't want to run into a bunch of new players then don't use the DF at all. Use the PF. Actually it goes better than a bunch of il90 rushing idiot.
I did it with my il85 War and 3 pugs 1st time in class quest gear and DL weapon (il 50 or around)
Yet guess what ? only problematic boss was the zu because of adds.
Sure we wiped a couple of times on siren the time for them to get the charm mechanic, but after that it went smooth.
Strangely enough, my last attemp with il80+ people wiped endlessly on 1st boss because they can't take care of adds, and no matter how good your healer is, more than 5 adds alive results in a wipe

If it wasn't for the DF I wouldn't have gotten anywhere with the game, so no.You must not have done DF much before 2.1. :X

It was actually a rhetorical statement. Considering I've used DF a tad bit longer than you and had also done DF Garuda/Titan HM in the month of September when people were still gearing up some 70 odd times, I can tell you this behavior was quite rampant. So was taking off all your clothes and continually aggroing the boss until players left. It's actually why I created a naked gear set so I wouldn't suffer durability loss when people decided to do this type of thing...you know...back when repair costs were a bit too much.
Your posting history on ZAM in relation to FF14 threads usually contain a lot of misinformation. Unfortunately for you, you don't have the rate down button here.
My experience is that if someone was fed up with the group, they would usually just leave. Until vote abandon got added, then they would try to do that instead in order to avoid the penalty, which essentially encouraged them to try to do it sooner.
So, again, this change is very welcomed by me. I don't know what you're doing to constantly encounter malicious AFKers, but that hardly seems as common anymore as you're making it out to be.
Your statement here contains a lot of irrelevance.Your posting history on ZAM in relation to FF14 threads usually contain a lot of misinformation.
