I think about this myself - but then remember a lot of people that are playing probably aren't old enough to remember those days!
Mentally and/or physically.
There are so many communities besides the LGBT that if S.E had to deal with it all, it would be such a hassle and end up like the movie Battleship. African Americans wanting more representation, Asians, Iranians, etc. We shouldn't treat games like that imo.
Maybe not, but I've always been of a mind that if it's something as small as a wording change that would make people happy, it's at least worth considering. I mean, I understand what you're saying: you really can't please everyone and you'd never get anything done if you tried. That's very true, but that doesn't mean that you can't at least consider making small differences here and there!
I also understand that this game is meant to be a living, breathing world. Even the npc's are meant to have their own story in a way. So if the dialog for one of them isn't neutral, it can just as easily be viewed as just that character rather than SQE. However, not knowing that for sure, I don't think it hurts for folks to at least ask if it'd be possible for a more neutral dialogue for the character. SQE doesn't *have* to do it, but it'd make quite a few folks happy to have such a small change. That at least makes it worthy of consideration, doesn't it?
People saying they're disappointed about how certain text was phrased in a quest, We are not screaming bloody murder or demanding justice or shouting that we will never play this game again... we are voicing our disappointment, I have no idea why so many people have a problem with this, A lot of you even argue that you don't care and yet here you are on the forums telling us to shut up, if you don't care and it's not something that doesn't bother you or affect you why do you feel the need to come on threads like this and tell people to shut up?
By this criteria, should infertile people also not get married, even if they are heterosexual? Heterosexual couples that don't want children? What about old couples past menopause? Should they get divorced now that they cannot procreate? Because in your words, love doesn't matter? Using procreation as justification is a flawed argument.
Just for argument sake it isn't really flawed and its not really surmised. The empirical evidence to support the claim can be provided form evolutionary biology, evolutionary psychology, and anthropological findings and theory in the form of natural selection. Genes that directly benefit the successful production of offspring survive while genes that can't become extinct. So there is some truth that procreation is the 'correct' path for survival as its safe to assume if you can't produce offspring your genetic heritage can't continue, unless one has other siblings to carry on the torch. This is true for all species. The concept of 'love', 'morality', and 'equality' are just social constructions they do not exist in nature. But I digress, this was rather off topic lol.

Charles Darwin has just taken over.
You can buy the animation hearts left and right once you complete the quest. You just have to trade with a female character and then you get access. I hear your plea, but that's the rules and after that's over you can share your love with any male toons or female that is played by males.
Everybody wins
This is really a principle-rinding thread. Something was not totally PC so we need to beat it to death. People in this country, the US, are far to worried about what people do in their bedrooms. As long as they dont do it in my backyard, i do not give a flying F.
You wanna get married, i am all for that. Maybe i am a divorce lawyer, more business for me. You wanna adopt or have kids, do it. Every gay man i know is far more educated and sophisticated then the average and would make a fabulous parent. Just the constant squabble abouth stuff like
The nonstop public LGBT arguments like this thread now give me the same feeling i get when Al Sharpton comes on TV. Enough already.

It was always harmless and had no discrimination whatsoever
I think the LGBT community is just used to complaining about nothing... honestly.
I agree with your rights, I don't agree with the constant tears over NOTHING.
If it was only a small change the LBGT community wanted. From beta forums till now they have more than just small issues with the game.
