I just wanted to let you all know that we will be adding more summoning bells and introducing market boards to each of the housing areas in patch 2.16.

What about FC chest (OUTSIDE of the actual house / in the free areas)?

I would like to give my idea that probably would give boost the game system, especially housing to be more charming to the players.
I believe someone already thought about the idea about food item in housing, like for example interacting with food on the table or be able to eat with fellow FC members.
My idea is basically is about having a feast with party member (the party member doesn't need to be in the same FC as long as the party leader is belong to the same FC with the house).

What we do is basically have a culinarian to cook a feast item (unusable item), form a full party and then hand the feast item to a NPC in the house (maid maybe?). After that the NPC will trigger a cutscene where all the party members having feast together and finally the party will enjoy a food buff that longer/better than normal food item.

About the feast item, since it's meant to be for full party, the ingredient required would be 5-8 times more than normal food items. As for the ingredient, player probably could get it from dungeon, fate, crystal tower , treasure hunting or even fishing (being able to fish a giant monster maybe?). To make it not boring probably we can put a rarity in the food ingredient as well (the more the ingredient rarity, the better the buff maybe?) which lead to a new achievement / title such as "glutton" or "food hunter".

This probably would give culinarian a bit more charm for the housing since they haven't got house craft at the moment. Other than for the feast purpose, feast item probably could be put on the table for decoration/furniture as well.

To avoid player abusing the system, we could limit a player to be able to feast once in a week or maybe to make a player to hold 1 unique ingredient at the time or make the ingridient 10 times more than required.

As for me i think it was a brilliant idea but I would like to hear a feedback from my fellow Eorzean about it XD.

Request Board:
A board placed in company housing (Crafted) that allows anyone in the company to view the board for posted information, anyone with sufficient access can set up requests on the board for members to pick up, and place a reward for the job thus creating a small system for companies to give both members something to do while also allowing companies to get certain materials which can be used to make items, etc. to give back to the company or whatever.

I want bottles of juice and frothing mugs of tea for the Culinarians to craft and for me to toast with, imbibe and throw dramatically against the wall.

I'd like for our retainers to roam player houses when they are released. Not just be summoned through the bells. It gets lonely.

Depending on retainer personality types, I can see one of mine telling people to get their feet off the furniture, and the other one always taking up a spot in the hot tub.

Oh, hey, kind of like NPCs that guard gates... (No, not to attack non-FC tresspassers... ) Maybe they could be placed near the placard and perform some function, like forward guest requests to be admitted or leave a message for the owner. I'm sure others and SE could come up with other ideas. Definitely would like to have our own interactive NPCs.

As we mentioned previously, we are still on track to add a repair NPC that you can hire and place in your house in patch 2.2.

The team is also looking into NPCs that will supply tools as well as ingredients. These NPCs can be placed around your house however you like in the same fashion that you arrange your furnishings.
