I was just answering KraggyKor using an exageration to proves that going strictly "by the rules & laws" is not something the humans society should look for.This is the thing that confuses me highly are we allowed to use music from this game to cover such edits? are these edits even allowed? if we do edit and we can't cover it are the cuts allowed? what about mr happy? his videos are edited but is that against the musics ToC?
theres a lot of questions from a editing standpoint with very unclear or no awnsers D: i just want clarity ;A;
As for your concern, the rules are pretty clear on that matter:It means that you can capture some FFXIV footage and put any sountrack coming from FFXIV itself, could it be the music from the footage itself or the track you want.General Guidelines
• You may not materially alter or modify the Materials, except:
****◦ You may add your own voice-over, and [B]you may edit, combine, mash-up, mix and match the Materials with other FFXIV Materials[B];
So, if you want to use the music from Ultima for your PvP video, sure you can.
There's one exception: you are not allowed to use the song "Answers", which is the one featured in the game intro.

Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
soooooooo it is more pressing to hamstring a massive amount of fan created free advertising than to address that certain someone who would "PREFER TO BE PREFORMING SOME SORT OF AOE WITH A STUN INCLUDED"?....
I have played your games for decades SE.....dafuq.

You forgot to say /endsarcasmDear SE,
For years I have found something BEYOND annoying and extremely lame, watching YouTube Videos with good game music replaced by people's extremely horrible taste in music. It's to the point where I listen for to the audio for 2 seconds and then mute it. A video is supposed to have audio, but video game videos have become like animated GIFs, all motion and no audio.
Thank you SOOOO much for disregarding those that have ZERO taste when it comes to music, I am 100% happy with your decision to not allow that mess to happen with FFXIV. I am exceptionally happy that I can watch FFXIVARR videos online without having to mute the videos. Please continue with the banning of those that violate that rule and thank you for not allowing Answers to be used in videos, that song is too amazing to have these people ruin the song by overusing it. Those that are Legacy have a stronger connection to Answers than those that started with ARR and I don't want their lack of appreciation for it to ruin it for me.
I could not disagree with the OP more and if he gets his way, nearly all FFXIVARR videos online will be ruined by horrible tastes in music. Don't let that happen, no matter how many signatures they get, they do NOT represent true Final Fantasy fans, we fans know that FF music is 50% of the experience.
Their policy is illogical.

Them saying "dont use third party music" is not from "their" copyright things.
You know, without the consent of an artist you aren't even allowed to make ANY kind of fanvideos.
How many videos wit Sony licensed music where removed again from Youtube? Yeah quite a lot.
Being forced on using Ingame sound for Fan Made videos? Well I just will turn of the music than and just have the effects =.=
