If you've searched an item in the Item Search feature, then go into the right ward, you'll see a big red star on the right Retainer who has the item.
Also, I just... Can't... Possibly see a feeling of pain in the neck while searching for an item in the Wards.

Anyway, I say this by not being an anti-AH fellow: We have a Market Ward system, and we should better it if we have it, not just scrap it and substitute it with an Auction House. I'm definitely not scrapping (scraping, whatever =D) the idea of having an Auction House, but if we have a Market Ward and we can better it I'd not simply gonna scrap it.
Have you ever played any other MMO before? Running around all the wards is a huge pain when you have to replace an entire set of equipment while buying food and repair mats. Instead of searching and buying everything from one window I have to search > run to NPC > buy item > search again > change ward > run to NPC > buy item > repeat 10x. Do people really have to defend every stupid feature in this game just because it's different? This isn't immersion it's just tedious and unnecessary. Immersion is me negotiating bazaar prices with an actual player and HEY that's already in the game and doesn't need to be changed, but when I want to quickly buy an entire set of gear for a new class I don't want to spend 20 minutes doing what takes 2 minutes in ANY OTHER GAME.

I think maybe just some flowers here and there, not a long corridoor have it as a square big room with stalls in the middle and around so you run different directions. Break the mold. And have the NPC's do different things, could be just filing a sword if they have one for sale, or talking with other npcs (with no dialogue just the illusion), sitting down, resting on crates etc. Anything that gives it life would do me =)

I dont mind the system i just hate how dull it is, so thats my only issue!

Becease it is interactive and beats spending 10-20 min out of the game in a laggy as heck static menu system.

So pretty much the real reason people want an AH is because they do not want to take 1 min to run to a retainer. Since looking for items and marketing them and zoning is so easy a monkey can do it.

It takes me less time to use the MH then it does Aion, WoWs, FFXI AH. You actually waste time at those. It can take me 1hr trying to find items on ffxi AH that 1 I can afford 2 That I get a successful bid on. In ffxiv it takes me 10min since all I need to do it find an item I can afford market then run to said retainer and buy it.

You waste as much time running to the retainer as bidding on an item in ffxi. Or buying and waiting and running to the mail box in WoW. So really why do we need an AH? The MW is an INTERACTIVE AH that keeps you ingame. Not taking you out with a static menu system.

The "searching thru countless of retainers" is no longer an issue. Get over it

The ONLY problem with MW is that it renders each retainer. That's what's causing awkwardness, zone separation, crashes, limitations, overhead, etc. If they turn the system into something that no longer renders the retainers, meaning you simply browse to a retainer from a text menu, it will be infinitely better than what it is now.
The fact that there hasn't been as much crashing is why there is now a lot of overcrowding. The only limitation it is currently presenting is having to walk to a retainer, which to me, adds in immersion.

using an AH takes 20 min to do what u want. Takes the MW 5 min. I timed it replacing a full set of gear from ffxi and ffxiv. So no there is no issues you claim.

Yeah, I haven't been able to take you seriously since the day these forums went live. Sorry.

Even more, I'm amazed by the fact that they're giving us more retainers.

Here's my beef: AH WORKS MW DOES NOT!

    See how simple it is?!

I never use my retainer because calling it and using the messy UI is not worth the trouble because in XIV there is no economy to benefit or to use in the first place.

So how in their right minds did they think having MORE retainers each with their own inventories and locations makes this system anything but more cluttered mess?!

I never use MW in the first place because it's such a mess now the selling aspect of it just became 10 times more complicated. Good luck memorizing what retainer has which items...
SE truly believe the MW can work but they are wrong. They are wasting time and energy to fix it just because they want to be "different" and that's so stupid in so many ways, SE had an AH in FFXI and that was before WOW. So why try to be different and refuse to use a feature that you were one of the first to use?

I'm sorry you fail at using WoW's AH, then. If I know exactly what I'm looking for in both cases, WoW's AH beats FFXIV's MWs any day of the week. This is the second time I've seen you type this, and I still can't believe it.

And it is funny that time spent walking is the same if not faster then bidding on items in ffxi or buying an item on WoW and running to a mail box.. No AH is "quick and easy" I played ffxi 6-7 years and for 12 hours a day I hated using th AH. It took so long due to not seeing proces and in most cases the price was higher then the list of last sold. It can take me up to 2 hours to fully gear my jobs from the ground up in ffxi. It takes me 10 min in ffxiv. I love the MW because how easy it is to use andthat I'm not stuck in a menue. No AH has a single menu you, pretty much ffxiv search = ffxi AH with improvement in saying what ward sells what. AND is organzised down to low/mid/high level gear. Only issue is having the gear actually be there. Which is an AH issue also.

I do know what I'm looking for when I use it. It is finding the item cheaply, waiting for the item to be in your mail box. And then running to a mail box. No one can fail at using an AH they are not hard to use. Niether in the MW. And there is no difference in time. Or MH is faster. takes me 5 min to fully gear in ffxiv, 20-30 in WoW, due to ah congestion causing menu to lag, plus looking for the best price and finding and loading up the main box clicking on the main THEN accepting your item you use more menus in WoW for 1 item then u do in ffxiv. ffxi can take me 30 min due to bids not being sucessful and finding out the item is 30K more then what was last sold on the list. And you go through as much menus as you do the MW.
