You are complaining under the assumption that there will be no gear lockout for T1-T5 when they remove the entrance lockout. Do you really think they will completely unlock it for farming when they put gear lockout on CT that provides lesser gear than can be gotten already?
For people with 1+ high level job, gearing up more jobs is already a joke, so nothing changes for them.
And nothing will change for people that are new to 50 because they can't enter coil until they get a Titan HM clear which they normally need to gear up for to begin with, then gear up more to take on coil to begin with. Not that it matters to me since I'm already part of the T6 club. Limitations are probably those just to get into coil such as Titan HM and such. But still, tee hee. Also, GG SE you completely eliminated any reason for CT.A: Since we’ll be adding the second installment of the Binding Coil of Bahamut, which exceeds the difficulty of the first installment, we'll be removing all the limitations on the first five turns of the Binding Coil. The weekly limitation will also be removed, so you can take on the first five turns as often as you like. Also, every week that passes after patch 2.2 is implemented “The Echo” buff will start being applied, and while you are in the dungeon you will become stronger, and since your item levels will also be higher, it will be much easier to win. Ultimately it will be eased to the point where even if you eat Piercing Laser or some member dies while passing Allagan Rot around, you’ll be able to endure. You’ll also be able to remove the buff if you want to challenge the Binding Coil of Bahamut at its original difficulty. Rather than saying the difficulty itself will decrease, I think it's more accurate to say that players will be getting stronger every week. Similar adjustments will be made to the second installment of the Binding Coil further down the line, when the time is right.

The limitations being removed are what's there today. Could still mean they will add a loot lockout.
Regardless of that however, considering how much trouble even various full i90 that I've done T4 with have with T4, the majority of players are still going to need to gear up with CT and Myth before taking on coil. And that's assuming they meet the coil pre-reqs to begin with (clearing Titan HM).
I think many people here are grossly overestimating the skill level of the general player population.
Because getting bored is what ends subscriptions. They're taking the current tier of Endgame content and substituting it for another. Endgame players will still have their challenges, newer players will still have their challenges. Only difference is newer players will have more content that's slightly easier to beat until they reach that wall that requires super tight requirements to beat.
tl;dr
You can remove the Echo buff anyway, why are you complaining
Wouldn't be a issue if these modern MMOs didn't totally invalidate content every time they added new content.
EQ pvp servers were a solid 2-3 expansions behind blue (pve) servers for YEARS and you know what? NO ONE CARED. The raid content we were doing from 3 expansions ago was still more valuable than the group gear from the current expansion. We progressed at our own pace, eventually gained enough levels/alt advance points/practice to beat the raids and move on to the next. IMO it was even BETTER because we never ran out of content. There were always 7-8 tiers of raid content ahead of us.
Whine whine whine I have beaten T5 numerous times and I don't care about all this "ppl shouldn't be able to obtain gear faster" BS WHO CARES if I am running T6-9 I sure ain't PUG'n it! What effect does anyone else have on my raid group? Correct me if I am wrong but is it not still the norm to take on New high level content in a Static raid group? who is going to really be running coil t6-9 in a pug?
So many self serving players upset about the work they put in to get gear earlier than others being degraded due to old content becoming easier -_-, fact is that's the price you pay to get the high level gear early....in the end you still have said gear first I know ill be content just knowing I am going to be running T6-9 as soon as its released and not worried about playing catch up! stop being elitist jerks and covering it up by saying you want to tell apart good players from bad! what a laugh!
but hey, lets all get mad because coil t1-5 (all of which allagan weaps aside, are completely useless to me and I am sure other high level players now) will be easier and (could be farmable, as not confirmed) we feel better players should be so much more separate from others.
The content isn't invalidated. They never said they were nerfing it, they just said they'd include something similar to the Echo buff, which isn't really that significant of an improvement from my experience. And if you really have that big of an issue with it, Right Click your buff when it appears.
How on earth is that "invalidated content"?
The idea is that non-hardcore's can gear up in an adequate timeframe to be able to eventually experience the newest content while it's still relative.
It makes perfect sense.
Very true, even of regular servers. I made a post echoing the same type of opinion about what I miss about EQ1. I really do miss that not everyone had to be at the same gear level as everyone else.Wouldn't be a issue if these modern MMOs didn't totally invalidate content every time they added new content.

The biggest problem with mmos' is requiring someone who just bought the game to play 6-9 months before "catching up."
What they have designed is perfect. Keep the buff if you need it, since beating T5 is required for story progression into t6-9, OR if you want to say that you beat the content as it was intended... TURN THE BUFF OFF.
Or find like minded individuals and do the content with i80 gear....
This is a great way to keep the challenge without forcing people to grind for months just to be up to date with the latest content.
