Why does the OP think he magically has the rights to 2 completely viable stand-alone roles just because he's currently the only class in the game with 2 jobs?
You're meant to choose one. There's nothing odd about this.

I would guess because of the armory system... where players are supposed to be able to play any job on one character. I think it's odd that you can be any other job- but because they stuck 2 on one class- that requires a choice....it's not even a choice between two of the same role... if you want to play a summ, you have to choose against one of the only 2 healing classes...
You CAN play any class on one character, and you still can. But SMN and SCH are JOBS, not classes.I would guess because of the armory system... where players are supposed to be able to play any job on one character. You wouldn't be complaining about this if SMN and SCH had their own 1-50 leveling.
I'd much rather just reset my stats instead of have to grind another class from 1-50 like every other class in the game. I really don't get the complaining.
