And like I said, they took out elemental weaknesses to balance it. By all means, spell it out here how you would 'fix' what the devs couldn't without essentially scrapping the game as is and prevent situations where class stacking blackmages wouldn't be the smartest way to go.

I actually gave some examples of how they could do this...

Give each class a piece of the puzzle - Summoners have their summons, Black Mages have spells, Bard has their songs, Monk has the 'Fists of', & I'm positive Dragoon could be implemented as well.

All together they'd do better against elemental foes, but without, it's not gamebreaking, but you would be at a disadvantage.
This could not only inspire more diversity, but also more use of Party Finder and local parties


Edit: I hate to break it to you, but most of the games balance has been by fan complaints and not by the developers.

Your little list of 'examples' on page 9 was just a wishlist of how you want to revamp all the jobs and gameplay to suit your tastes. I like my blackmage as is tyvm, why should I have to relearn it because you don't think of it as an 'essential feature' and think its 'flawed'? That sounds a bit like you're spitting in the dev's faces there.

You want a different game, just admit it already and leave. See you when 2.2 drops though I'm sure.

You're right I DO want a different game, I'm sure you did as well, or was the game launch just how you wanted the game to be? I don't know how you came to the conclusion I want to scrap the game that's completely unreasonable and I just don't want it to happen to begin with.

Notice how I gave those very same examples? The elemental affinities in this game *DO* need scraping, they're there for no reason whatsoever, beating a dead horse with this one, but, you should not be able to kill Ifrit with fire spells.
