Add built in "range" finder for healer

Having the feature, that when you mouseover an ability or skill, it will create an outline around you with the range that particular spell will reach.

For example, Cure III has 6 yalm range, it will show a small 6y outline around you. Medica II 20 yalm? Medica 15 y? same mechanic

Also, add an ability where mouseover a party member's icon will show you if they are in range of a particular heal or not. For example, say party member 3 is 50 yalm away, you can put your mouse over his name and without clicking, be able to see if he is in range of a Cure/Physik, etc... Also, it would show if people are in range of AOE heals using the same mechanic. Many times its very difficult to tell if someone will be in range of an AOE heal, especially when casting in a rush. This allows healers to more easily choose heals/abilities to use and position themselves.

Finally, increase the range of Whispering Dawn to at least 25y, right now it seems to always miss a few people.

Whispering Dawn is fine in my opinion, but I would like to see a "grey-out" type of effect to indicate someone in your party is out of range. I also think the range indicators on self-AOE aren't a bad idea. It wouldn't need to be as flashy as the indicator used while placing Sacred Soil, though.

That'd be really useful! I'd also like the ability to rearrange party members in the list (If you can't already) having the main tank at the lower part of the list is annoying, because its harder for me to hit F7/F8 than F2/F3.

You can absolutely re-arrange party members.
Go to your party list (letter "O" shortcut for me) and in the lower left corner you will see up/down arrows. Highlight the party member you want to move and knock yourself out.

You can already do this. I put the tank I'm healing in position 2. Go to your party member list and move players around there.

I would definitely like to see something like this. Tonight I finally got off my bum and rebuilt my Whm macros (with priority of <mo>, <t>, <f>, <me>). It's a great set for healing mouseover first, target second (for, say, healing pots in CT - hard to mouseover with people/mobs everywhere), focus third (tank?), and then yourself last of all (as the default spell would).

The PROBLEM with this led me to pretty much wipe my party. IF you are not in range (which happens ALOT in CT where I was practicing the new macros) of whomever you are trying to heal, it will commence healing the next priority - almost always yourself. So what happens is your character begins to cast, so you think it's working. 2.5 seconds later - you heal yourself, and realize your tank is still dying. If we had something letting us know that the target was out of range, we wouldn't waste such time. For now, with this issue, all macros have been relegated to <mo> only.

I like this. For PS3 users who don't have a mouse, it would have be when you start casting, the outline/diameter reach shows up and then you'd have to interrupt it if not everyone is in it and re-situate yourself and start casting again. Of course if you also used a mouse, the diameter/reach outline would show as Squa and others mentioned if you MO the skill. And the ability to activate/deactivate as well.

Just make the red aoe line blue like the npc's in fates when they use Overpower. I do feel that the idea is superfluous since most good groups know when/how to stack for AoE heals. But it could help in df seeing as people still don't know how to move or stack.
