There is no difference between someone that looked at a video or guide before running a dungeon and having someone in the dungeon explain the fight to them. They didn't learn anything on their own and in both cases, were fed the info they required to succeed.

This is false actually. Many people are actually good at absorbing what they need to do from a video. And many other people think they learn better one way, but in reality don't, because they get distracted by the fight itself and fail to notice things.

The very first people to ever run the content didn't have a guide or video to work with. Somehow they were smart enough to get through the fight. Also, no matter how many times you watch a video does not guarantee someone can do it. A new person can watch a video on dodging landslide all they want...doesn't mean they will dodge it when they do it for real. That comes with experience, which means wiping a few times for someone to get it down. Just because you personally have downed the content doesn't mean you should now expect everyone to do it correctly. This has been the mentality I've seen lately, especially from elitists and it's very irritating.

I agree that there are some people who will never get it, but being patient with new players while they figure it out doesn't seem that difficult.

Level 1 to Ifrit HM + Crystal Tower: no need for preparation. Enjoy.

Ultima HM, Garuda HM to Extreme Modes + Coil: Watch a damn video and pull your own weight.

The concept is still the same. The person isn't learning anything on their own and is being spoonfed the encounter one way or another. If they can't learn anything from reading it whether it be a guide or party chat (or even video), it's gonna be a pain train no matter what so all you can do in that situation is either kick the person/leave the party or deal with it as they learn the encounter with their faces.
