What would they move on to...? Eggs are the only thing really worth much these days because everything else comes from ...and this MAY BE A SHOCK...multiple sources including vendors.

Honestly, they do need to move these to vendors - The economy will never recover as long as people are undercut happy so there's really no point in not making this quality of life change.

Food is the only thing in the game that is somewhat stable. Vendoring mats is the worst idea ever. Might as well just scrap the whole crafting system and make everything vendored.

(Ignoring that a lot of basic items in many recipes actually comes from vendors or crafted with guild items, oversaturated tome mats like Cooking Sherry and low level Botany thus worth almost nothing.)

They should scrap the crafting system as it serves little purpose as is when trash drops like Aetherial gear is actually better than basic HQ crafted gear since materia caps out pretty quickly (and I've yet to see anyone actually use materia on anything other than i70 stuff and even that is rare). Moving eggs to vendors wouldn't immediately kill the crafting system or market lol.

The whole "quests give out basically everything and you can buy "good" weapons for your level at many camps is what makes a lot of crafts useless unless you simply must have that HQ, so this isn't what would kill the system, SE already killed it a long time ago. Food is only stable because it's the one thing that isn't handed out in most quests like gear is.

That's not entirely true anymore. Buffalo Sirloin hardly sells for anything on Adamantoise these days. It's the Night Milk people are after more than anything.

So continue to contribute to the problem since its already broken? RMT will always find something to farm.

Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't Night Milk used for making Rolanberry cheese and Rolanberry lattes? I can't think of anything else that uses night milk off the top of my head, though perhaps the lattes are responsible for the milks worth.

Chances are some honest and rule following people on this topic will be banned WAYYYYYYYY before any botters will be. SE, I love ya, but sometimes. I wanna mail you guys a dunce hat for how badly you guys handle botters and RMT. This mass ban software you guys use is just so backwards. You guys should investigate those that we report, instead of ignoring us and letting a mass ban go out (of which Im sure those that get banned without doing anything wrong wouldnt be banned if there was a human handling the bans, on a case by case reported by other gamers.) You guys have plenty of subscribers so it shouldnt be an issue to hire a few people, each responsible for their own Data Center. Since you guys wont do that, Ive simply stopped reporting rule-breakers since people ive reported are still going at it...

OMG, I just figured out why SE doesnt ban RMT and botters for a VERY long time, it's more subscriptions. Why ban them when they are on their free month? Wait until they pay 1 or 2 subscriptions and then ban them. Damn SE, I take that dunce hat comment back, ya'll some evil geniuses.

Oddly enough I've never had any trouble going over and farming a quick 50 Eggs to make a pile of Deviled Eggs. its people who "need" to farm 2000 eggs in order to sell on the MB each day who are being affected, not people who actually use the mats for crafting Imo. Although I agree the bots are annoying, even them claiming it doesnt preclude you getting loot from the kills, I run around and shoot / kill em 1 at a time and still walk away with 50 eggs in 30 min.

Hello all,

Well after reading through the various responses I do appreciate the feedback, but also wanted to remind everyone why I made this thread.

The whole intent was to direct Square's attention to the bot's farming Apkallu Eggs specifically.

Again I do appreciate the positive and helpful feedback from those who have replied to this thread.

On another note, after making this post I was forced to change my password to my account due to "suspicious activity on my account". I wonder if I was targeted or have aggravated Square and that was their warning to me.
