    because you can't use tank to gear up your DD character. If the piece I need on DD drops I can't need on it, its why the only time I tank is with a Fc o rparty finder group since we can control who rolls on what.

    Oh, my bad. I forgot you can't buy vendor gear on another class for another class!

    That's right. You cannot buy most good dungeon gear (which there is no match for on the markets or NPC vendors) for a Lancer anywhere else other than *rolling* greed on the piece against a tank who can roll need. Dungeon gear is the best gear in the game leveling up, on purpose by SE. If it says the lancer can use it, the lancer should be able to *need* on it as well.
