It will probably be a form of a Gria. For a few reasons:

1. They could fit in with Ishgard
2. They fit the semi-human motif.
3. Require less effort to develop.
4. Are final fantasy based.
5. Wouldn't require a vastly different version of male/female to work.

A tiny dragon-ish tail and small horns/wings sounds like a cash cow expansion to me.

Hmmm Gria would just awesome...Cause we already have beast tribe race miqote...We do have cat ears,big giants,humans elves but we do not have something horns lol so Pls SE add Gria since you wanted add dragon-ish race...and males will be looks cool as well as females of Gria race....so do it pls

I doubt we'll see anything like this since SE does like to keep the Semi-Human look like Mardel pointed out in one of her posts above, but you never know..yoship and the dev team might change their minds.

mog will not be a playable race, forget it people.

about gria (even if i want to see them in game, can be fun) i doubt they can be related to ishgard, did you forget what they do to people that accused to be link to the dragon in anyway?
they toss them in a big hole, if they can fly (and gria have wing) they are shoot down by archer, if they can't... they die killed by the fall.

Ishgard hate dragon, as much as dragon hate them. don't hope for any dragon-like race near ishgard it will be really really really bad for the lore.

about viera versus miqo'te, they are both race from another game and the only thing in common is the fact that the are half beast and that all. Viera are calm and elegant when miqo'te are more rough and...lively hehe. Viera are closer of the elezen actually than miqo'te in the manner to be.

finally they have said that they will add new race more closer of the human, don't hope for the bangaa for now.


ps: about why a new race will appear? eorzea is a land where people migrate from the other continent. they can simply say, this race come ilsabard fleeing trouble in the empire with all the succession plot that about to begin. or simply wanting to be free from the empire, Eorzea have already push back the empire 2 times by the past.
