First expansion pack and new race

Due to gear I doubt we'll see playable beast tribe races. Though it will nice if they could become our companions instead

There is still the posibility of a Humanoid Beast tribe.

Don't forget there are other Beast Tribes in the world of FF14 and are not bound to Eorzea but are located in other continents.

These other Beast tribes have been encountered by the Allagan civlization during their world conquest which lead to them discovering Primals for the first time. Of course this lead to the discover of Summoners and bring the Primal Knowledge into Eorzea which lead to the early members of Eorzea's beast tribe learning how to summoner their Primals during the Allagan Era.

I don't understand why they would ever introduce a new race into this game. The whole premise of the game is to be able to do everything on one character. Why would I want to start over again just so I can have oversized ears on my head?

A magical item called Phial of Fantasia coming to mog station at some point. I know, research is hard.

If not Viera, other races I'd like to see are Guado, Ronso, Burmecians

It will probably be a form of a Gria. For a few reasons:

1. They could fit in with Ishgard
2. They fit the semi-human motif.
3. Require less effort to develop.
4. Are final fantasy based.
5. Wouldn't require a vastly different version of male/female to work.

A tiny dragon-ish tail and small horns/wings sounds like a cash cow expansion to me.

Just Googled Gria cause other than FF VII, VIII and XI i had never played any other FF game (yes i am a sad person for not knowing the coolness of the other FF games), and wow looking at some art and other info on the Gria race I hope they do get introduced into the game.

Personally I don't really think they should add another race, at least not as a playable race. I mean it can work but it could kinda seem strange at this point, who knows.

They could add a viera-like race from across the jade sea, one clan being the Jade rabbits from across the jade sea. the other being the Mountain Hares from Xelphatol region.
