Classes are classes, jobs are spec trees. It'll be more obvious when we start getting more jobs for the classes we have.
P.S. I would love a special trait or two for jobs. Make them quest rewards that require at least iLv 70-80.

Jobs are not spec trees sadly. The devs have stated in the past that the purpose of the job is for party play and that each person should have the ability to play ever job/class on 1 character. (However I guess they did not say it wouldn't be gimped by having to choose between 1 job or another job based off a single class.) However by doing so they alienate potential casual players who want to do a bit of everything XD.
If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.
