    For people with 1+ high level job, gearing up more jobs is already a joke, so nothing changes for them.
    And nothing will change for people that are new to 50 because they can't enter coil until they get a Titan HM clear which they normally need to gear up for to begin with, then gear up more to take on coil
    Not complaining about anything, as no changes have even been made/finalized yet. Just discussing. I am hoping there is a lockout on gear, but so many people absolutely hate the idea. My assumption is that there will be a lockout followed by 231 threads on here full of people pouting about it, but I could be wrong.

    SE has had bad ideas already *cough* housing *cough*

    Im disappointed about the nerfing of coil 1-5 but that's what Yoshi thinks they should do. didn't he say that he didn't want the relic to be the common day item but he made them way to easy to get hmmmm. back on the subject it does not matter if they nerf 1-5 the people who farm those runs that cannont pass the turns at their current difficulty will not go on to beat the new turns you have to put in the time to learn the fights and win them. no just wait for a hand out which this currently is when they nerf the fights

    Why do you want to basically bring the entire game's population to the forefront of turns 6-9 (4 small mini dungeons that were INTENDED to be for hardcore players) when those mini dungeons are going to be the logical progression path end for the next 6 months? In 6 months it wouldn't be hard to go from just reaching level 50 to coil turn 9. There's absolutely no need at this time to do this huge catch-up for people who aren't through Twintainia yet.

    Do you honestly feel that a fresh level 50 player (or even a brand new player) is so far behind that they need to be hand held to insure that they get to turns 6-9 within the next six months? These type of nerfs / lockout removals typically happen when an expansion is released that brings a plethora of content (not 4 mini dungeons and a couple of remixed dungeons). There is no need for this yet.

    Bottom line: this game doesn't currently have enough content to warrant a "catch-up" yet.

    I think they should probably still put some kind of limit -- maybe 1 item per turn weekly. Otherwise, getting ilvl90 will be easier and faster than ilvl70 at launch in CM, and people will burn out.

    Keeping the lock will also encourage people to still run CT for 1 drop if they're catching up, which will increase endgame variability, which will reduce burnout.

    It will not be a direct nerf where they remove entrance and loot lockout. That will make 2.1 obsolete.

    What I think will be a good balance is remove the entrance lockout. Add echo only to T5. Loot lockout per turn, per week. Reasons for this is obvious.

    Why exactly does everyone have to be able to catch up to everyone.... When I play a game, I don't want to be like everyone else. I want to be able to go someplace. It's just like in life really. Do you want them to change the world so everyone makes the same thing and has the same housing options, and everythign is the same.... Or do you want to be able to make it to the top and be a millionair/billionair and have more than everyone else. Do you want to be able to achieve greatness, or be throttled into less than you are.

    Sure not everyone is capable of obtaining greatness, but to those that can it's not fair to go "sorry bud, end of the road for you, wait until everyone catches up to you and we'll let you go a little farther and then they'll have to catch up to you again."

    A video game should allow those that are capable to accelerate way beyond most people. Some people say in this thread "The no lifers will be so far ahead etc etc." Good for them, let them. If they have the ability to do that, how is it there fault that someone else doesn't? Why should they be held back by hard limiters and caps? Because the people with 8 hours a week to play need to be able to keep up?

    I want this game to be more like FFXI where A level 75 could go stand in East Ronfaure and watch all the level 3's come druel at him. IN that game being maxed out felt epic, and meant something. In this game, it's just like wow "big deal, everyone's got one of those".

    To me a game has no value unless there is something to set a goal for that is hard to obtain for most people (and impossible to obtain for some people).... The only thing to set a goal for in this game is to grind to level every class. T5 is a decent goal, but within 2 weeks I'll have that down and will have cleared all the content in the game.

    In my opinion, people don't need the ability to catch up to people with more time to play. And any opinion that states "It's not fair to not let me catch up" can be equally contered with "It's not fair to make me wait so you can catch up". So in my opinion, nothing should be nerfed to allow players to clear it, people acquiring IL100+ gear is more of a nerf to clear old content than anything and is all that is needed.

    All existing content should stay relevant until people outgear it and move on. If that means it takes a new player 4 years from now 1 year to catch up, so be it.
