After. I faced them yesterday.
I should tell you Blue Blankets performance varies based on how his ISP is acting. He often lags during a certain few hours of the day, which makes it a lot harder for him to two shot people during that time period. Not sure if he was lagging during that time, but just throwing that out there.
this is simply the how a good rank 30 warr hits a DOM, having been pounded on for nearly every match i've been in with blue, I think you're just now feeling how hard rank 30 warr hits, and without your own heals, I feel for ya lol, maybe since you can't kite as good because of the nerf you're feeling more dmg?
Well i'm def feeling the damagethis is simply the how a good rank 30 warr hits a DOM, having been pounded on for nearly every match i've been in with blue, I think you're just now feeling how hard rank 30 warr hits, and without your own heals, I feel for ya lol, maybe since you can't kite as good because of the nerf you're feeling more dmg?![]()
I target those that I have love for. The more love I have the stronger the hug is.![]()
Two matches today I start out going pretty good against blue blankets... then out of nowhere, i take 3 hits for 1500+. My poor little Luce is so abused by the blue meanie.

Anyways here are some tips to deal vs good wars: (using war/mrd interchangeably here, since same strats apply)
1.Distance and Positioning are you best friends - since wars have no gap closers, being mobile and staying near los objects is the key to success. Match their sprint with your own. Make them chase you around before they get a chance to stun / holm you. Also you should always be away from the fray - you have no bussiness being up close with melee dps, unless you are safe or can make a play.
2. Your team and cc - if your team is bad, work on your mechanics and practice survival. If they are okay - ask for peels to help you out. Eye/tetsudo/Pvp thrill of battle do wonders if you are caught. Any cc is good vs war himself, especially if the team can force him to trinket - your job will be a lot easier. If you have a mnk with pacify - super useful, use during war burst.

NB: always cover big cc like bind or sleep with shit debuffs, like virus, aetheric, aero, miasma, lethargy etc
3. Your tools:
Fluid aura - great disengage tool, if used correctly can lock the war behind a pillar/wall, and prevent dmg on you when he uses burst
Sch pvp knockback - same idea as fluid, albeit no root
Blizzard II - a must have, surecast + this peels all melees off you unless Fetter ward
Prism - if you know u will get caught, a good dmg preventer
Attune - typical ice block with delay; use to prevent dmg, not at 5% hp; effect is cancelable - dont sit all 10 sec if they switch to some1 else

Trinket - always saved for stun / sleep; if you already trinketed sleep - this is bad, without team help you are toast vs a smart switch to healer
Trinket only when burst is used - and dont save it for holmgang since u can cast while holmed
Veins (aka equanim) - in holmgang/during slow on you, combo with cure potency etc
Swiftcast - sleep or giant heals / using this properly loses or wins games
Also having sleep/stun resist at 14 is very helpful, ez to overmeld with cheap materia now. As for spell speed, if you have that at like 510 or so, you can sneak in casts in between their globals
Most importantly - don't panic. Rational use of cd's + proper positioning / cc on war burst is the way. I hope this helps a bit
