Sorry. Joined after having a bad Amp Keep run.

First time running through this, right?

I tell the party at the start I'm new to the dungeon. No comment, no replies. Ok, fine.

Right before first boss fight, we get wiped three times because Tank both runs ahead of me and out of line of sight and refuses to keep monster attention on him.

Had two wipes before we get in. I make a reply of "You do know I am new to this, right?"

Tank's reply: "Oops. Hehe. Lol. Look just stay out of the red zone."

Two more wipes, the BMG snarks and withdraws from the group. I withdraw as well, coz you know..not worth it. I'll take the 30 min ban from roulettes.

*sigh* Where's this damned healer's union?

Ever since then I never pug AK ever again, it has always been FC runs.
Seems like, since they dumbed down AK you only find undergeared/undersomething dps who sometiems can't even dish out enough damage to down first boss. I don't know if it's cause people hears it's easier and that place no longer scares anybody (I used to be terrorized by demon wall at first)...fact is, they didn't dumb bosses down much, seems to me, trash dies scarily fast but bosses seem the same old thing to me. Or maybe it's just I had got used to running it with premades, geared ones, but now geared people doesn't care about running it anymore?

Mine is more of a DERP than an horror story....

Anyways I DF Brayflox and everything was fine even though my heals were very low but everything was doing fine so I figured that it was maybe just me until we get to the last boss and the tank says "Mind asking if you knew you are on Cleric Stance?" I litterally face palmed... I felt like an idiot...

I soloed heal almost the whole Divebombs phase as a Sch once.. omg all the tanks had <500 health 100% of time. I alternated adloquiums and spammed lustrates and the tanks didn't even notice the WHM was down. So then we got all the snakes down but when Twintania came down for profusion, everyone had like 1000 hp and then we wiped. Our autorunning WHM died bc he decided to run to the wall right before divebombs.

Pharos Sirius is pretty much always a horror story for me. I avoid doing the high level roulette now because honestly the last boss is just a mess. People not running into mid whenever she jumps, mixed with Lunatic's Voice not being interrupted = at least two people with the charm and healing debuff making it practically impossible to catch up on their healing. Maybe I'm just bad at this boss, but it really frustrates me and every other healer I've spoken to.

During my first run of Castrum Meridianum there was a WHM decked out in decent end-game gear like the Royal set from CT. However, all he did was DPS in Cleric Stance, not popping a single heal. On top of that, he was being snooty about not needing to heal because "the tanks surely won't die" (implying that he's relegating the duty of healing everyone all on me). Surely enough when we almost wiped he told me that "I have to work on my healing." Cue my friends that I queued up with starting a kick vote on him that passed unanimously.

I don't know if this is Healer Horror or Healer win. However I guess it could work both ways.

Today went into Titan X where group started freaking out when my buddy and I joined. "Oh Gosh 2 SCHs!" Claimed it could not be done. One tank even went as far to jump off twice because he didn't realize they queued two schs and said it would be impossible.
Obviously it shows how ignorant some people are. 2 SCH with 2 EOS working on cooldowns. (Both my friend and I are on vent. I was bubbling Stomps and he was on Jump Bubbles.) After a bunch of QQs they gave it a go - and guess what - we won.

People do know that it is possible to 2 SCH coil 1-5 right? >.> Sigh.

Done T1 and T4 with 2 schs recently. (Me and a pugged SCH :P) From personal experience, I can tell you that 2 SCHs sucking together is a complete myth. On my first T4 clear yesterday,my friend gave in and pugged an SCH because we couldn't find a WHM. We took second dread into enrage. By cycling through our rouses + whispering dawn and Fey illuminations, we healed through T4 enrage. The dread was practically at full health when enrage started and the whole party was full health with our MP at a healthy rate by the time we finished. So yes it's very doable.

My dual SCH T1 experience was VERY pleasant. Since there's practically no AoE damage in that turn, I actually think dual SCH might be better on that turn that WHM/ SCH combo. Shorter E4E cool downs and super virus debuffs on both snakes at practically all times. Plus, between me and the other SCH, there's 6 lustrates for those oh shit moments on either tank. Further more, fairies healing any damage to DPS which means that as healers we can focus on tanks only.

PS: Love your IGN. :P Go Sailor Senshi!!!

    "First Impression" Healing Horror

As many of you well know, Pharos Sirius can either be a pleasant run if everyone knows what to do (or is willing to learn from others) or the worst hell spawn dungeon ever conceived if even 1 or 2 players are not pulling their weight or otherwise ignoring mechanics. I have started to dread seeing this instance in roulette because I can feel helpless on Siren if I have to constantly deal with lunatic voice layered on top of other mistakes made by the party.

Even so, I try to have the attitude that I must take what I get when I select roulette and will not drop unless the group has given up. I'm the type of healer that will sit there and help people try to do fights they haven't figured out yet because I enjoy getting people through bosses that are difficult for them and making runs that are otherwise impossible work. I have never initiated a vote to kick on anyone, and I have only agreed to one vote abandon because I was in a group that was repeatedly dying to Siren well before she was close to death herself and the others had enough. My point is, I will work with people if they are willing to work with me.

My Achilles Heel, however, is jerks. You put me together with someone who is nasty to the group and I will go from being a healer who will happily time out of an AK with inexperienced members to a person with no empathy whatsoever.

I had a Pharos Sirius like this today. It's common for people to ditch at the beginning of this dungeon, and I will sometimes bow out if nobody else that is left seems happy to run it, but this Warrior is special. After a couple of dps ninja dropped while the bubble was still over us at the beginning, I made some sort of off handed comment about how it was amusing to watch people give up on this instance so quickly. Big mistake, because as I have come to learn people will often judge you based on first impressions.

Warrior charges ahead and pulls the first three packs, and I honestly don't know what possessed him to do this. Did he think he could speed run this like WP? Was he trying to torment me? I don't know. Whatever the reason I could not keep up with that much damage, especially when random mobs were spraying all over the dps and I wasn't expecting him to treat this place like WP. We wipe messily.

But it doesn't end there. I wish it had ended there. Most people, when confronted with a wipe like this, take a step back and try to evaluate what they did wrong. Not this guy. As I'm ressing behind him, he goes and does it again. I have 1k or so mana at that moment. Nobody has protect or stoneskin. If it didn't work the first time, it wasn't going to work this time for sure. So I do something that I almost never do to anyone, the last resort of a scorned healer: I stand there and watch them all die.

As we bite the dust again (summoner dragged mobs to me and I ate it too, which was probably justified), they all tear into me for not healing them. First of all, I have never seen anyone try to speed run Pharos Sirius before. Who does that? Many of the trash mobs are designed with mechanics that are meant to punish groups who aren't focusing or stunning certain mobs. Thankfully the warrior leaves before heaping on too much abuse, and the dps decide to wait for vote abandon because they think I'm a troll now. I leave the party since I feel like a complete jerk and I am just disgusted with the whole thing.

People seem to just lose it in Pharos Sirius sometimes. I myself don't like Siren, and I dread groups where people ignore the mechanics on the bosses and leave me to tank legions of adds. I often regret unlocking this place. As I have previously stated, this place is very simple if the whole group follows the mechanics and plays well. It can be really frustrating sometimes, though. I dunno.

I guess the major thing that people should take away from this is be very careful about the first impression you make. Maybe the warrior thought I was an asshole and decided to troll me. Perhaps the group would have been less inclined to blame me for the Warrior's incompetent pulling if I had only said "Hello" like I usually did or kept my mouth shut. After all, they don't know me. I'm just glad that experiences like this are usually rare in 4 man dungeon runs. Remember, make a good first impression and be friendly. If you can't be, excuse yourself before things get worse.

Horror Story - and also an apology to anyone in my run!

I got CM in Duty Roulette. Sweet. I like it, and it aint too bad.
All going fine. No deaths, only 2 stress momments (it can sometimes get messy in there!)
    Final battle. Horror.

My controller is having a wierd attack (yes, I am on PS). I was moving to the side to position, and my character does a freaky little dance. Pulls the boss. Sorry!
Its ok, everyone is there, we crack on. I run to the middle, since I got the agrro....tanks come to me to sort it out.

Aggro gone. Phew...time to move. Wait. Why am I stuck. I cast. I cant move. I just tand there, taking it in the face. Why cant i move? Oh. Sh1t. cant even cast now. WTF?
Tank is on chat: What?! you are useless
Me (in my head): Yeah, man, I know...

Finally, realise controller is dead. Have to swap it out. Faff bout, get totally twatted by whatsherface.

Eventually, back in control. All good. But have to spam heal to sort everyone out - Scholar with me has done really well to keep it going whilst I've been a dick.
I get add aggro. I die. I end the final 1 min on my back.

Maaan. Sorry to anyone in that run. And sorry to my pride
