Honestly, as much as it sucks, you shouldn't have been pulling without asking, especially since the group said to wait. You also knew that you were with a pre-made, so you really should have been asking, or just let the other tank pull.

Asking in alliance chat if everyone is ready is an easy thing to do, and honestly every group should be doing that before a pull.

As for the guy saying that this was abuse of VTK...they can report the OP for harassment, since pulling before people are ready can be considered it...if the group you're with wasn't ready and you pull even though they said not to...

Absolutely not, if they are within the 'zone' that seals off, then they are ready for an encounter. If you had to have every member of a group verbally confirm before every pull, or be at risk of "harassment/cheating" as a tank, you would get precisely 0 tanks ever in your DF.

Yeah...no. Lots of people go into the zone instinctively because there are so many impatient tanks who just run in and aggro everything, and many tanks just ignore people outside the zone anyway

Typing "/a Group A is ready" in chat and waiting for a response, or "/a Other groups ready?" isn't hard, and once you get "Group B ready" and "Group C ready" you can pull.

And then, there's KB...where you need to ask who is tanking what and often has a good few minutes downtime before the pull, even when everyone is in the arena...

So you are literally asking for confirmation verbally from 3 groups, each with 8 members, so you need 24 people to communicate before a trash pull, and then each alliance to communicate together so, so 27 total communications ... u r doing it wrong. How many people does it take to change a lightbulb in your place of residence may I ask?

Bosses are different and maybe need a little coordination beforehand. If people are not ready outside the "lock out" zone, then that is a different story. In fact if you aren't ready you shouldn't enter the pull zone, that is simple communication for the tanks to wait. And I am going to go out on a huge limb and say you have never played a tank.

I regularly tank CT as WAR and PLD, MT, OT, tower and claw duty. I've done it all. Also have healed (even solo-healed the KB MT...yep, other heal got locked-out) and DPSed.

And yes...asking if everyone is ready is just common courtesy.

Or you simply say "pulling in 20 seconds", and if no one says anything you instinctively know everyone is ready and just pull. Its really simple & doesn't hurt as much as wiping 344534 because a tank just decided to pull when half the alliances were away.
