The win/loss button was certainly not mine. I’m not sure how else you expected that point to be taken. Here’s mine:I agree that the analogy is a fail but, it was not my analogy. You provided the example of passing on loot in a dungeon as a comparison for the discussion on whether two teams agreeing to intentionally throw matches to trade wins violates game rules. My facetious point is that this is not even close to being a valid comparison as you have a PASS option button on loot given to you by developers as a legitimate choice.
Trading wins in pvp matches
Rewards:
*Marks for buying gear/materia.
*Experience for buying pvp skills.
Carrying/co-oping with a premade group with pre-established need/greed/pass agreements
Rewards:
*Easy experience points (depending on level).
*Possibility of obtaining gear for sub-classes.
*Possible spiritbonding opportunity.
As you can see the rewards are not vastly different. Having a benefit to playing with friends is exactly that, and exactly the way it should be in most cases. The only real difference in these two scenarios is that one is much lamer than the other.
I guess you’re right. I was assuming a little. It’s just the tone of your post, which I know doesn’t necessarily reflect the affliction in which one speaks. If that’s not the case I apologize.
The example you provided which resulted in my facetious comment on the win/lose button came from this quote of yours:The win/loss button was certainly not mine.
My point is that passing on gear where you have button/choice on your screen provided by the developer is not a valid comparison to someone that gathers 8 members and all agree to trade win/losses for an unfair advantage. I exaggerated my point by suggesting that if there was a win/lose button similar to the pass button, perhaps your comparison would be valid from a violation (not moral) standpoint. As far as letting people win marks...I pass on tank gear for FC members when in various dungeons...am I in violation?
It is not the rewards that are in violation, it is how they are obtained. We are certainly in agreement that earning them via trading wins is lame.As you can see the rewards are not vastly different.
