Is "PvP" farming allowed?

PvP stopped being PvP when points for armor upgrades where added. Now thats only incentive most so called PvPers do it. PvP used to be about competition and building grudges and/or respect for opponents. Now it's just another gear treadmill.

Plenty of PVP games reward you gear/skills for collecting "pvp points" yet cheating the system isnt allowed or blatantly ignored like it is here.

The problem is that if you tried to farm realm points on DAOC, you got banned and ostracized by the community.
If you tried to farm battle ranks on Planetside first you were teamkilled, then reported and suspended.

On FFXIV, nobody cares

The game is left with the community it built.

I don't think its a matter of SE not caring. It's more of SE is too cheap to up their customer support team.

I dont think it's a very nice thing to do so.

On a side note, i dont think its a very nice thing to wait 30+ minutes in queue for 1 game u lose due to no item level/ skill check and get a 2.6k hp healer in your group.

I think some things need to be tuned.

How is this any different that everyone running 5:30 minute brayflox's? They aren't abusing a system at all. The fact of it is PVP is broken and if you have ever tried to do it than you should no that. It takes 3718 WINS to get to max rank. in 4v4 one of ever 5 matches is almost guaranteed to be bots that pretty much whoop you ass. No to mention the people you will encounter with rank 40 and the full i100 set when your rank 3. who cares if they are use the duty finder to win trade. It doesn't affect you.

It does effect you, when you get i100 players on a random 4v4 matches, once they are done wintrading and want to take their new gear for a spin.

Most the people I have talked to that are win trading aren't even interested in PVP they want the gear to glamour and don't want to deal with bots / actual battles to glamour a set and never use it again. Also most of these people have LSs that win trade not actually (most not all) so they aren't going to just Que 4v4 any clean you out with rank 40 and great gear. ALSO 4 rank 40 members WILL NEVER get grouped with low tier people because the system doesn't work like that. the PVP rank of both groups is taken into accordance with match making. So the only way you'd see them is if you also have similar in which case you'd more likely be WAY more experienced with how your class in PVP works and you would clean them out. High gear and Rank do not make a good player. They aren't going to instantly wipe anyone b/c of the I100 gear.

well the difference is. that they do not actually fight..

if they are two groups who battle against each other like in a real fight its no prob... but many of these groups dont actually fight. its more like sitting there while the other group kills you.. and that they change each round. thats really abusing the system

I think you guys should look at the problem at hand here:
Insanely long queues
Botters
No gear check what so ever
No people queuing for 4v4

Yes, it's not nice what people do, but you rather spent your sunday evening waiting for queue for 30 minutes reading this silly forum, only to get a pop.

Yes you could say, then play another class thats more wanted.

But bro, this pvp gear grind is the most sickest i have ever seen in any game, and this is coming from one of the first wow high warlord where u had to play 16 hours a day 5 days or more per week AND agree with other people to not go higher than a certain amount.

There are no respecs in this game, once you invested into buying your first 2 rank 30 pieces of 8k a piece.

Lets say you get 100 points for a WIN now (in solo queue you have botters, sucky gear healers and newbies) so you will barely win half. so 160 games x 30 minute queue time... (or even 10?)

I mean cmon guys, for one piece?
