Actually any car that cant meet road standards will have to pull their products off the shelf, or fix it.

Typical "I forget to give it some thought". All manufactures of products have to adhere to a minimum standard fault tolerance if not for their reputations, then for the government's consumer safety policy.

Every wonder why cars don't blow up when getting bump from the rear(a landmark case). Not getting hit is not an option people want to hear.

You really want to split hairs? Fine. Put potholes instead of roads in the above sentence. Probably makes a better analogy anyway.

Except: A driver can dodge potholes, we don't have a choice in our ISP path without paying extra. And while a driver pays the city in taxes and thus has more say in getting them fixed, we don't pay ISPs anything and they don't owe us anything.

In other words, stop making analogies because analogies are dumb and stick to the matter at hand.

Ultimately, though I find you to be someone who doesn't actually want to help, but just is trying to be "right on the internet." None of what you say changes anything. We want SE to respond to the issue, whether it's "we're talking with these ISPs," or "we are working on changing our data packets" or even "we don't care about your lag, go away." SOMETHING.

You are contributing nothing of value to the thread outside of wanting to whiteknight SE, because god forbid people who pay them want them to actually say something instead of ignoring us.

What do you think a VPN does?

Also, if you'd look back I never started the analogies.

Lastly, You honestly think square isn't aware of the problem? There have been numerous threads about it. They've tried doing things on their end with the positional update which is an implicit acknowledgement that they know thereis a problem, and they are likely still working on it since the problem continues for some. Unlike many people here I don't need an explicit acknowledgement of the problem in order to be happy in the knowledge they are working on it. Square is a group of smart people, and I have no doubt they are aware of the problem. Even still I don't care if you want to complain about it in some sort of attempt to elicit a response from them. What does bother me is willful ignorance about the source of the issue. Square can call level3, and I'm sure they have. Square can even plead with them to fix the issue. In the end Level3 is the one who has to fix it, and if Level3 makes that difficult then what do you expect square to do? Complaining and blaming square will never fix that issue. Square is not Level3. Blaming the game, blaming the netcode, and blaming the servers will never, ever, fix a problem at level3.

If you are one of the people having issues with a level 3 node you could always look here http://www.level3.com/ to complain to the people who own it.

Actually there are anti shock systems and classifications ( all manufactures include road conditions, aka pot holes) to certify their new models.

Most companies even beat the minimum requirement by a lot to compete (thus you are also wrong about your pot hole argument). So why is SE so behind in the "pothole" tolerance?
