You make some great points. Some I don't agree with but I fall into the bucket of people disappointed by the game in it's current state.

+1 OP /10 char
FFXI was released in NA in 2002, giving it 6 years to reach this stage of content you mention. ARR was released in Aug 2013....Put it this way, if this was XI in 2008, My LS message might read "Sunday Sky Farming: Byakko & Genbu then Dynamis Beauc - Monday Seiryu & Suzaku then Einherjar Chamber 1 - Tuesday Kirin x5 + Limbus - Wednesday Dynamis Lord + Jailer Farm - Thursday Break (Salvage Groups/Nyzul Isle) - Friday Odin - Saturday Limbus
In XIV my FC MSG reads "Hi WELCOME TO XIV. We will be back in 2.2, if it doesn't suck and can't guarantee we will stay"
Other then the story quests forcing you to party up. You really do have the choice to form a party and pick out the best of the cherries in the bunch for mostly everything else. The party finder option is just for when you really don't have a lot of cherries to chose from at all. Its an optional feature, not a you must feature.
You can complain all you want. That's your right to exercise.
Although, I would recommend keeping things to "I" which you mainly do but here and there, you put "We all" which isn't necessarily true. Its much better if you use "Some of us" in the worst case scenario. Just like you are arguing your rights to choose and so forth, you technically have no right to claim all or most of the community members.
The OP cries recycle but really it is repetition with variation. Mostly in the interest of teaching. There are 3 forms of the Titan fight. The story and hard modes are really close. So by the time a player gets to it, they should be aware of the mechanics; that is the entire purpose. For extreme mode, it seems to attempt to jar the player from his/her previously memorized routine. Any new titan fight would be too much. As it stands it is just repetition with variation.Pretty much all of his points are valid and true. SE is truly clueless. The recycling of of mechanics, dungeons, and bosses is ridiculous.
To the people that are saying to give it time, it's only been 5 months. The initial release already screwed up many aspects of the game that are going to pretty impossible to fix at this point. The world is pointless, nothing there to explore and just boring in general. Crafting/economy is ruined.
But hey, i understand people wanting a 5 month old mmo to be able to stand toe-to-toe with 8 year old mmos.
It is recycling. These primals were not put in to 'jar' people out of anything. SE has ran out of ideas. IMHO they saw that people were applauding them for t2 and how great of a fight it is with just the right balance of mechanics, group communication and involvement. People also loved the Ultima fight, no one complained about that one.....So hey, lets recycle these fights, add the t2 tank swap mechanic to EVERY FUCKING SINGLE one of them and call it 2.1.
How you suggest we make 2 tanks obligatory, when you don't want to bring adds?
Not even WoW managed to make such fight. Even the some complex fights like Beth'tilac and Alysrazor had the tank swapping/adds management.
And SE said that Coil was to test mechanics. Tank swapping worked, so why not?
Interrupt didn't went so well, so we didn't get any more.
Distance-based mechanics (slimes) worked well, so we got Gaols, Suparna/Chirada, and Atomos.
I think Ifrit can be them testing on how randomized patterns are received, so maybe we'll be seeing them again on Leviathan.
Personally I love tank swapping, I hope they keep them coming.
I love the game myself and see myself playing for a long time. I have a few issues, but most of them are minor stuff. You got to understand I've been playing mmos for as long as there have been such things, and the whining I hear, not really from the op, but from the doom and gloom community I have heard from every community. People were shouting "the end is near" on WOW, EQ, and hell FFXI since they started and all are still about in one form or another. So my advice to anyone not liking the game is this, get out. I don't mean it mean or anything, it just seems unwise to me to pay a monthly sub for a game you hate so much.
For me housing is a big deal in a game !
I want to have a home, i want to make it my self and with the help of my frineds! The house in the game is like your home in the real world for me !
And to be honest with you i never saw that coming with the prices, i would never imagen that i pay for a MMO and i will be locked out of the content because SE cant handle the demand of the content and also cant handle the RMT in their owen game !!!
Threads like these honestly confuse me. If your having such a hard time enjoying a game or seeing too many "problems" through your personal experience, why not try looking for something you actually can enjoy?
Not trying to come off as a jerk or anything (if i did i'm sorry) i just really want to know why its hard to do so.
