Asking for a Fantasia potion from GM - How long did you wait?

I'm confused. Why would GMs give out more fantasias, especially considering it's planned to be a paid service in the future?

And if you did throw it away or screw it up somehow, why would you waste your one time item item restore on a cosmetic that will be obtainable again? Don't you think you should save that for accidentally throwing away something more important?

i am using my one time item restore to get a new one, fwiw my looks are more important to me than any one single piece of gear. also, they have said they will be making more available but for now we dont know when. i dont want to wait, my looks are that important to me.

Because some people can't wait that long for something that is game-breaking for them.

Sorry, I don't see how somehow losing your fantasia is game breaking, compared to say, accidentally throwing away that new rare peice of gear you got.

I'm amazed that the GMs will do this at all if you simply used the fantasia hastily and didn't like the result. I hope SE comes out with a "bag of gil" item so I can use that, call a GM, and get another one.

its not that we "lost" it, its that we used it and werent happy with the results. its quite game breaking to be playing a character that you dont find aesthetically pleasing.

also, no piece of gear in this game is "that" hard to get. even if you destroy a relic weapon, you could have it replaced in a few hours just by questing a new one.

Which I contend should be an even lower priority for them than an ordinary item restoration. Why didn't you take your time picking out your look? You had all the time in the world to look at your character from every angle before confirming.

Remember, they'll only do this once. What are you going to do the week after you change when you decide you don't like the look you got?

You can't request the same reilc, each relic quest is its own, one time quest.

i did, i spent a total of 2 hours making my character. when i was done my character was bluer in game than they appeared in the character creator. trust me ive tried to just "live with it" but its quite annoying, ive tried using the aesthetician to cover it up with facepaint. i just cant get happy. i may even change my race. you also have to consider that when alot of us used out phantasia it was about a month after the game released. are we not allowed to change our minds in that time as to what we want our characters to look like? it has no bearing on anyone but the people requesting the change. and im not even saying it should be a top priority and have no problem waiting a month to have it replaced

i dont like it when people question the validity of other players choices when said choices have absolutely no bearing on you whatsoever
ive already been playing with the character creator for the passed week making adjustments and fine tuning the look i want and have it saved as an alt, i wont be making the same mistake twice. thanks for the info on the relic's tho i honestly didnt know that

I'd really counsel you to not use your restoration on an item we will soon be able to get again.

Also, as far as your character not looking the same in game as it does in creator... the creator has a background change option that will let you see it under different lighting conditions for exactly this purpose.

Submitted mine on the 14th o January (I think) and I received a response right away to agree to using my one time account restoration. So I agreed, then a response the next day stating thank you for your patience. It can take several weeks to investigate. It's been a week now and still waiting for any kind of word or notification.

I understand this isn't earth shattering but this is a pretty long wait. No updates nothing. I can show you that I had my fantasia potions by switching to my alt or creating a new character, who has two fantasia on him.

Work done! Even sillier, I was sent a survey asking about my interaction with customer service went and there was no interactions. Just emails. And no resolution.

I'm not mean so I'm goin to hold off on the surey lol

how can you be sure that we will be able to get it "soon" all theyve said is that they will be available, and they have been distinguishably vague about when that will be and what it will cost. and ya i know about the background change option, i was using it, my character still turned out more blue than i wanted.

is the fact that people are using their item restores on fantasia really that big of a deal to you people? why the hell do you care how other people use their item restore? i didnt see the OP ask for people opinions on whether or not it was a valid use for the item restore

Why not just wait and save your item restore for an actual emergency, such as an account compromise? I just can't wrap my head around using a once-per-forever option to get one extra fantasia. And why is that? Because: if you couldn't get your character done right in 2 attempts (3 if you were Legacy), how is the 3rd (4th) going to be different?

I understand you care about your character's appearance: I'm trying to get you to not do something you're going to regret later.

ive been playing MMO's for going on about 14 years now and i have yet to "accidentally" destroy an item and need an item restore, this is literally the first time ive asked for such a service in any MMO ive played. im pretty good about not clicking on stuff that says "delete" unless i actually intend on deleting it
