Because in the letter Yoshi states: "as promised in my previous letter, today I’m going to give you a progress report on auto-attack."

This is in THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. That was ALL the letter was going to be focused on from the start. We have been given teasers of the quest hubs and the dungeons already in other letters and this time, he wanted to focus on Auto Attack.
