Miqo'te vs Hyur: A Tough Decision

I would say Miqo'te, but they're so overrated that everyone plays them. I rarely see Hyur Highlander in a dungeon or overall. My vote goes towards to Hyur.

As far as I know, equipment, hairstyles, animations, mounts and everything else are first designed for Hyur Midlander (if they are available for Midlanders) and then adapted to other races, so I guess being a Midlander would mean that things look more compatible, I think Highlanders might also benefit from this (similar proportions). Miqo'te works pretty good, but sometimes it is apparent that the chest/leg piece wasn't meant to be worn with a tail. Other than that, I think picking the race comes down to personal preference (though be aware that population seems to be Sun Seekers>Midlanders>Moon Keepers>Lalafell>Highlanders>>Elezen>Roegadyn, at least on my server).

I somewhat regret changing to a manthra, not a huge deal to me though. I'm contemplating going back to Hyur.

I started old XIV just before they changed the server names (around 1.18-1.2 probably), made a hyur on Wutai then to Balmung he went when they did the server name changes and transfers (he's currently is still on). Friends and brother couldn't play on legacy (which was no biggie to me), so to Coeurl I went (the only server at the time that I could get into during early access). Made a Hyur, got to level 15ish, deleted him (before I knew they were giving us fantasia), made a male miqo'te so my brother and I weren't the same race and for the better looking standing stance.

Now the cat ears, tail, running swagger, and constant rigormortis in the fingers bug me. Thinking about using my second fantasia to turn back into a Hyur (I got two, one for having an old character since some 1.XX players didn't get to change their appearance for some reason, I think and another that was given to everyone). Regret using my first one so quickly, but what's done is done.
