Roe master race reporting in.

Statement: This one recommends embracing the master race and becoming a Lalafell.

Ever since I saw a male mithra in FFXI, I began supporting the male mithra threads on the forums. When I heard about 14 1.0 coming, I rushed to all fan based forums and supported every male miqo'te thread. When they didn't come out in 1.0, I roled a midlander hyur and I hated it because I knew I wanted a tail and ears.
When 2.0 came out, I immediately went cat and never looked back. I frikkin love my cat even if the world is over-populated with cats. I surround myself with lalas though... because they're pretty frikkin cute even if they like to punch me... I mean rally with me from time to time.

lol! You people are pretty funny! So yeah, the helms and what ever look silly, the wonderful work around is the option to not show the helm or hat. The tail does not move while mounted is another silly reason. The reason that I went Miqo'te was because the stats and honestly they look better than the Hyur, the Hyur look too manly for me. I am a real life female and I like them to look softer. I know that some men if they are playing a female char won't mind either way but honestly for me, the Miqo'te do look and sound more like females than the Hyur which are the closest to that female feel.
If you ask me, Lalas are too childish and the Roegadyn are way too rough, the Elezen... Those necks xD So I think that I could get past the helm/hat and tail on mounts issue because I do not have to see those few things all the time. I do have to see and hear my character and the rest just do not cut it for me.
つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Every love story is beautiful but ours is my favorite つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
The elezens can be good looking but... the emote animations are eh... and their voices are ... eww
Miqo'tes are nimble, Miqo'tes are quick, Miqo'tes can jump over candle sticks.
Lalafells... You can't say the same for Lalafells. I mean "it" can't even jump over twigs, you know. They could stand to benefit from those luminescent vests just so they don't get trampled.

I've always been kinda bothered by how high Lalafell can jump give their overall size. I understand mechanic-wise it's necessary so that all races can clear obstacles equally...but from a purely cosmetic viewpoint it's quite funny watching them leap 4x their own height xD
This was really the definitive reason I also chose (male) Mi'qote. The pelvic thrust thing is a little disturbing, but the male midlander looks really awkward in his normal standing posture with the knees locked out and his weight almost entirely centred. Female is basically the same.
That said, it looks fine from behind which is where you will probably most often have the camera anyway.
And maybe /stretch helped me with my choice...

Just thought I'd post links to what I'm talking about with the emotes. I'd turn the sound off since there is commentary for the male Hyur video
...it might be worth listening to the annoying commentary for the reference to "the midget people"

Clearly these Lalafells are mutants and must be exterminated before the damage is permanent. I always suspected something was strange about the Lalas. If you stare at them long enough, you can see that their body shape is odd. As if, they were blown up like a balloon with Helium. It would also explain their voices... those.... rat like.... noises.
((hisses))
