    I wonder what will Hiroyuki Ito say when hearing that...

    Seriously, it never was and never will be, you are trying to hard and destroying the origins, which makes the game losing its identity!
    We are playing Final Fantasy and not Zelda, Assassin’s Creed or Diablo.

    That said, I do not think the combat system in FFXIV is great, and agree it needs some finetuning, but all that "too slow" thing irritates me. Try to play older FF games and tell me again those are "too slow"...
