One thing I'm curious about if I may for all you melee folks out there since I have no idea how melee works. In the last part of the video with the Pugilist (is that right?) fighting against the goblin, I noticed after concussive blow the players TP went up from 265 to 819 after concussive blow, then again from 819 to 1432 after using feather step all without actually attacking the mob. Any thoughts on what's going on there?
Now that I think on it, it's kind of asinine how they didn't show DoMs and Archer seeing as those are the 2 most unclear classes for AA.
And if that's because they haven't finished it............ idk what to say lol
Letter was a bit short, but its primary focus was auto attack, so here's hoping that more bits get leaked over the next 2 weeks, on jobs, camps, raids etc.
Glad now that I reactivated my FFXI account for another month of leveling up to 90.
Fear 14 will be dead now until 1.18 notes are up.
It appears that using the WS right after or during the AA is what caused that. The animation for AA got cancelled out, and they were receiving TP from the AA. Similar things happened in XI.One thing I'm curious about if I may for all you melee folks out there since I have no idea how melee works. This patch will contain pretty big changes:
1) Auto attack for all battle classes, which includes balancing procedures for both player characters and mobs
2) Redesigns of the current skill/ spell icons
3) Brand new animations for many of the weapon skills
4) The ability to move between passive and active mode without having to stop your character's movement
There are probably other things which I've missed out or may have not been announced yet for patch 1.18 (The letter did say that all of the details will be released at a time closer to the patch's arrival) but you also have to take in to consideration the amount of testing they have to put in to this as well.
I would estimate the patch will be out in 2-3 weeks considering the letter says 1.18 will be out in mid-late June.
Edit: After reading the letter again it really does say 2 weeks beyond the mid-later June date.

Ridicolous -.-'
8 months + 2 weeks more for implementing auto-attack.
Better to be postponed for testing and polishing than to release it too soon I say.
At last. News.
