Wow, I thought more crit meant your crit % goes down. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

It doesn't necessarily make it simpler, but does tell you when you make a gear choice that has no substantial benefit. Good example is these 2 quotes.
Squenix has always had their stats break off into tiers and don't have gradual increases in small numbers. In this case if 11 determination doesn't increase the total to the next % breakpoint but the 11 skill speed does then the skill speed actually has a benefit since the 11 determination will have no effect on actual damage dealt. If both raise the value high enough for another % then the determination wins, and if neither raises it then it's up in the air. It does no one any good just giving us a bulk number when I can obviously use a calculator and add them up myself. What I want to see is whether I can get another % increase in a stat without having to put the new item on and beat on a training dummy with a parser for an hour.
Squee, why can't we see the boss's HP in a numerical percentage?
WHY? WHY?!
Whats sad is several of these features were present in alpha. Originally you could select which quests you could track, or track none at all. They dropped that in beta 3 I believe. The chat transparency was an option in alpha as well. Also in beta 3 I recall Yoshi mentioned the ability to party for story missions, but that never happened. They have removed a lot of features that were available in early builds, features that players want, which truly boggles the mind.
In regards to showing percentages for stats, there is no technological or even logical reason to not do this. Even in a dynamic system there is a predictable algorithm at work. The game has a function say f(x) = pLvl +acc -MobLvel, where the output is the hit percent.Note that is probably not the hit percent function. In reality a player only cares about their ability to affect a change on a target their level or higher. A lvl 50 would never care about their ability to crit a lvl 1 marmot. EQ2 understood this in 2007 and their stats said chance to do x on y lvl target.
There are features from 1.0 that should return, list based inventory for example. Managing a 120 slot inventory of icons is a pain in the ass, especially when you have 12 raw xxx along with rocksalt and xxxstone, that all look alike. Having to hover over the icon to see what it is is tiresome.
To address the cut scene skipping. Auto skip is a must. I have yet to see a convincing argument against this. Many do not care if a player wants to watch it. I personally grew tired of them after seeing them once. Sure people may vote kick over it, but people are just as likely to vote kick because someone has yellow hair or a silly name. The logic that everyone must watch or stop a run because someone has yet to see them is just silly. People will either wait or they wont, giving an auto skip option will not change that. If anything forcing players to watch them every time is more likely to cause players to choose not to run heavy cut scene zones.

The juxtaposition of a discussion of logic following the most illogical thing in this thread is not wasted on me, well done sir or madame! 8/10!
If you were serious, you should maybe remove the part where you try to discuss logic after such an illogical statement.
I added a 7th. I can't believe I forgot about the awful tab targeting that still hasn't been fixed or addressed.
and who still believe in Yoshi? lmao i mean the game is getting worse and worse the lag havent improve at all Odin/Behen had crash the server multiple times and they havent fix it. they decided to create 2.0 with more errors then it used to be in 1.X. to also add the journal u only can have the last 5 quest u have accept but it doesnt let u put new ones if u dont go and turn them in? it was in BETA and they took that off? how i see this game going instead of going up it keep going down
What I can definitely agree with, there are WAY too many reasons to be in a Duty now in 2.1, than there was in 2.0. That's a good thing, but being restricted from doing things, ESPECIALLY sending private messages to others while in them is simply retarded. I go into a Duty, suddenly I need to send a private message to a friend about something. The Duty takes 40 minutes to an hour+ to complete, especially if it's CT. Suddenly I'm out of the Duty, but now the person I'm trying to contact is in a Duty because it took me so long to get out. Now I'm standing there doing nothing because everything I need to do for the week is inside of a Duty, waiting on this person to get out. Suddenly just to send a single god damn PM, I gotta wait 2 hours.
There is just no reason for this at all. If the excuse is "We don't want people bothering you while you're on duty", then you may as well disable FC and LS chats as well.
