Finding published statistics would be near impossible because they don't want you finding out how significant the difference most likely is (Closest example I could find of hiding such data http://www.gamesradar.com/pc-gamers-...oo-pc-founder/)
They don't want to risk alienating a huge part of the community, so they don't publish anything of the sort. On the contrary if anyone had data (besides my friend or my FC does this or that) that went against what I am saying, they would publish it to stop all the hatred in the community. No such data is published
I would just like to repeat, all current content is 100% doable on either platform, and with a controller. What I'm talking about is the maximum caps of response time, precision, and reliability in performance which even if the difference is SLIGHT the mouse and keyboard out performs.
All of this would be alleviated if the ps4 version lets you play with a mouse and keyboard.... and they fixed the net lag through psn

Ironically said the person with no evidence?
My evidence is I own both, I can put them side by side....
My ps3 takes longer to show something on the screen.... I have played them side by side.... in the same dungeons ... Its obvious.
To Lustrate 1 person, cast heal a separate target, and pet heal a third target, within the same GCD takes 3 clicks on my PC, 5 (or more depending on which target ) on my Ps3
... Fact?
You do know the data you're linking relates to shooters, a genre no one would ever dare deny that playing with kb/m is vastly superior to controller, right?
For FFXIV, the difference is minimal, sorry. The controller UI is actually pretty well done and you can reach any skill with 99% of the speed of a kb player once you get used to it. The only thing I think is slower to do on controller is selecting a single enemy out of a big group (4+), and that's only a real issue on T4. AoE ground spells require some extra practice but once you get used is also extremely simple. Moving is actually much better on controller than kb/m, and this a very move reliant game. I have several friends who play on the PS3 and they're doing just fine. Their only complaints is about framerates on crowded areas (which doesn't affect endgame content) and loading times.
Again, I don't say there's no difference AT ALL. Game performance is overall better. There's easier access to extra stuff that can help (messing with your connection, gaming mice, etc). Combining mouse and controller completely nullifies the targeting issue I mentioned. Still, that's far from making or breaking the gameplay. if a player can beat anything on PC, he can beat said content on PS3, and vice versa.
If someone is not beating any content in this game, I can guarantee you that 99.9999% of the cases it is not due to his platform or control scheme. If a player can't beat something on PS3, it's not that just switching to PC will change anything.

I agree the difference is small... but its there. I just said if people don't want to take someone because of a slight disadvantage , no matter how slight, when there is 1000 other people looking for good groups.... You really can not criticize them.

Actually, no. You can plug in the keyboard for chatting, but can only play with the controller.
this is wrong, you can very much play with keyboard and mouse, all you have to do is change some setting in char config so that when you type on the keyboard it doesnt automatically bring up your chat log.
the only difference is hotbars, you cannot assign hotkeys to your keyboard like you can on pc and must still use the xhotbar.
but you dont have to take my word for it

Using the controller hotbar with a mouse counts as a "you can not play" on my book. Kudos to someone who actually do that, but no. Now that's more than a "slight" difference.this is wrong, you can very much play with keyboard and mouse, all you have to do is change some setting in char config so that when you type on the keyboard it doesnt automatically bring up your chat log.
