Let's put it this way - Bad PC players makes it impossible to get past T1.
(Platform doesn't matter, all PS3 has issues with is Cutscene load time.)

Wha... what?A lot of it has nothing do with the graphics and stuff, only issues is loading screens and the animations seem off, but it looks funny on are screen at time . It how are isp runs through through the PSN (playstations network) that is the issue most of the time. Then trying run into square servers also. It put caps on your Isp speed for no reason, and EX. Try run a good engine car in a wall slowly to 100mph , then engine will hiccup. or keep slamming it back and forth at other speeds.
Where do these people come from?
Have they even played on both? It's a world of difference, speaking as someone who owns both platforms and plays on both.
Speaking as someone who's played on both, cutscene time is the biggest issue, then again I actually have an SSD in my PS3.
You know, in 1.0 people said it was impossible to beat Dio Darnus using a controller. Something about not enough room for all the abilities or... I don't know, it was a lame excuse as there were alot of people who DID beat Dio Darnus using a controller. I have my Dalamud Horn, that's all the proof I need. I haven't tried Coil yet as I'm more afraid of not being adequately equipped than I am being able to contribute. Yes, I play on a PS3, though not because I don't have a computer that can't play the game. I prefer the PS3. I can do Titan Hard and not get hit by a thing. It's not the console. Never was, never will be. It's about player ability and latency.
There is no problem using a controller in terms of dodging anything on a PS3. If your controller is the problem get a new controller. For some PS3 models, graphical lag can occur, but thats not a overall truth to all PS3 users. In terms of people not having enough buttons on a controller to effectively do there job. That is why we have macros, to group certain skills together. I use a controller on PC. MUCH more fluent and once I discovered macros more in depth, never had a problem again with skills.
I think a good PC has some advantages over the PS3 system, due to networking and just better hardware overall might make things run smoother better/better looking whatever. Also PC has some advatanges that PS3 does not (Focus Target for example).
However, the differences are not enough to be truely significant and impede someone from completing content. BUT, they might hinder some individuals enough to cause this, but this happens on an individual basis.
To some players it'll be easier, more comfortable and overall better to play with a controller over mouse and keyboard, getting advantage by it rather than being hindered by the other (and the opposite is also true, maybe more often than not). Some people might not be able to do certain things as well without the focus target.
But then again, this is per individual basis. The PS3 limitations are not in any way hindering the gameplay enough (in these cases, we can all agree for example that Odin' is clearly way better and easier to do on a PC) to prevent players from completing content.
So, in short, it depends on who is behind the controller/mouse+keyboard.
PS3 is not any more of a hindrance than any other factor in play (latency/random lag, derp skills, etc.).
