Huh?
Yeah it does for DRG, and pfft!!! I think fancy shiny colourful garments are good! Are you discriminating big Roe boys now? Cause of being big and manly!?! D:The only issue I have is the Bard gear, it looks okay on Miqotes and Hyurs, but it looks ridiculous on Rodegan (spelling) males, its way to fanciful for such a large masculine figure. Especially the pink version lol .
The DRG armor changes for girls doesn't it? Belly exposure?
Roe men deserve to be and feel pretty too! >_>
It's edits like this that really bother me, as it represents the absolute laziest form of fashion design. "How can we make sure people know this is for girls?" says one Squeenix employee. "Oh, I know!" another exclaims. "Lots of bare leg and stomach and chest."
I'd rather design just blur the lines so much for both male and female models that it doesn't matter what's "feminine" or "masculine" anymore - it's all just clothes! Some skimpy, some frilly, some armored to the teeth, some highly practical, some covered in fancy baubles. All for both men and women!
Though we can get rid of those horrid tin cans.

Exactly what you said: I want guys to also have feminine options, and girls to also have manly options. Not everyone is a conformist. And few people need the other to be forbidden to wear what they wear in case their identity (shared by 50% of the planet, no less) is less speshul. How about more "feminine" gear, but make it also "feminine" on the guys?
[edit] Usually when someone says they want more feminine looking gear, it means they want more revealing gear, because apparently feminine means "cut out random pieces of armor to expose a lot of skin". To that, I say: Only if its revealing on the guys, too.
You mean like this?I would kill for a model like that implemented for both men and women models.

Since the thread is about armour design... Would be cool having long skirts for both genders. Our paladin is actually the knight, so it might happen one day...
I like that the armor/clothing in this game doesn't skimp-ify the females. And that armor that's skimpy on women is mostly skimpy on men too.
Especially on plate/heavier stuff. I suppose cloth armor...which really isn't armor, could maybe be tailored with a bit more variation sometimes?
At the same time...the Cleric pants on women are just panties. So YMMV.
For the most part, I like how there's just small, but noticeable, differences in armor between genders. Especially men and Coliseum gear lol. I absolutely LOVE how the WAR AF+1 body looks on females
At the same time...Female WHM AF+1 "pants" and the Allagan or Royal Robes...yeah...similar thing for a lot of pants (pretty much all with the skirt on the pants)...
And then...there's my DRG armor. So much teasing about that hole![]()
There's a good amount of revealing gear for men in this game (every "shirt" is open down to the belly button and I kind of like the Colosseum Garus on men myself). Generally I think the gear is well designed and would rather not have the ridiculous open-fronted robe from earlier in this thread show up in this game.

I think what they should do is an appearance option to pieces of gear, which gives you different ways to wear the same item. Basically it would be a toggle on each piece of gear so you could choose how it was going to look, so if you want more coverage you can have it, or if you want to show more skin you could do so as well. For instance lets say you have a shirt, you could wear it normal all buttoned up, partially unbuttoned, fully unbuttoned, or tied around your waist.

What it takes to be gay is being a man who's attracted to other men, not wearing feminine clothing.
"More defined male/female looks" is one of the most boring things of the real world :\
