Yeah...We just have to deal with what we are given...my FC has not even regularly attempted Coil yet.

Sounds like a RNG issue, and usually, as terrible as it sounds, RNG is RNG. That being said, can the loot algorithm be a bit better and atleast check class makeup/job makeup. I'm not sure, maybe that's the way they prolong the game/farming. It's also possible that the loot/drops are determined by the algorithm as soon as the instance is created. In which case, you'll have to be totally a) lucky b)dependent on RNG.
For me, my complaint is about the design philosophy of the game/encounters.
I'm done venting it though :P I'll take it easy, i think i'm up to 86 tries, doesn't work in a few more times, screw it, nothing to lose. Might as well drop mmo's for good. Perhaps when one starts getting frustrated regarding the very design of a game, maybe it's time to pursue some other hobby.

Just a few tips:
Never use duty finder for Titan HM again. The two tank setup makes it that much harder.
Pop this to help people that don't know P5 rotation.
Also, consider moving to another FC. It's unbelievable that in an FC with 384 members, in 3-4 weeks, you couldn't find 7 people to help you out.
Really, the fight itself isn't so hard, it's getting those 7 people to not mess up. Took me about a month. Don't give up, you'll get it![]()
Transfer to Leviathan. I have a really easy time finding groups and can help you out. I don't know what caliber players your world has but this fight is really easy and can be done if you can find a good healer with a couple dps who know what they are doing. That said, it took me 3 weeks to kill Titan the first time. Partially because of my skill level and partially because finding a group who are willing to take the time to learn the fight was really hard. I ended up posting on the world section of the forums asking for people to help me and a nice group of players responded. We are still all good friends.
They did tune the fight. Before 2.1 it was a lot more difficult.everyone just needs to work at it, he does the same pattern over and over again.
@ OP send me a tell in game and you can run it with my company and you will get the clear. I am usually on in the evenings EST.
Square Enix did things like this in FFXI with Maat, a Nine Breaker if you will, a purposely created wall that will halt the progression of players due to lack of skill, latency, as to allow only the most skilled, dedicated, and/or resourceful players into end game and also to facilitate the emphasis forming of Free Companies with skilled and like minded players.
Plain and Simple, Please stop asking for it to change, this game is casual enough as it is.
If you cant get past Titan HM on your own, or figure out a way to beat it with the assistance of others, then maybe this game isnt for you.
LoL. I'm not sure whether to laugh or facepalm at that ridiculous post.
That's how you make shit more challenging?
You call Titan HM end game? Do you know the kind of ping latency issues Aussie players encounter at times?
With that elitist attitude you'll definitely have a "big" community to play the game with.
I'll give you a very simple recipe for success of a game.
Higher revenue, as it relates to a certain project, or should I say business unit of a game development company=smaller development cycles=new content.
With your mentality the game won't progress an inch.
If as a game company, SE is trying to foster growth for a game that has great potential, infact has one of the best IP's in world when it comes to games, I sure hope they don't take advice from you and playerbase like yours.
That being said, I do appreciate everyone else's advise.
I was very close to success when I created a party with ilvl 65 and above requirement, maybe I'll push it to 68 in hopes of finding a party that can be successful at this.
And CKB,I might just take you up on your offer!

Got it done finally. TY for the offer, it's highly appreciated. Got a 65+ party, a few hiccups on the run but after the 3rd attempt, everyone was on board and we got him.
Congrats on the win, now you've Titan Extreme Mode to look forward to!
Honestly, I quite like the various Primal fight mechanics, but the time to react on Plumes and Landslides in the EM fight is just too darn short for anyone with an even slightly dodgy connection (or for anyone whose brain is starting to shut down after doing the same fight for 12 hours straight). If someone eats even one plume right before the phase change stomp, it's usually lights out for them. (And even when played perfectly, timings are an issue: if the Bombs go off at exactly the wrong time in the Heart Phase, it's a choice between everyone eating a bomb or everyone taking full damage from the next Phase change. Either way, you're all getting hit for major damage. Doh!)
At least in Titan HM you have a chance to recover if someone faceplants or eats a plume at exactly the wrong time... and if your connection is poor you can learn the rotation and move pre-emptively to avoid plumes. In EM you don't have quite the same luxuries.
King Moogle is the only fight I'll do totally for fun any more. I just can't stay mad at the little guys![]()
