Make FFXIV more like FFXI and less like WoW

SE did what will make them the most money; Cater to the masses. There are far more players that want easy easy easy than people that want to work for stuff and enjoy the adventure that MMO's used to have. I played XIV for 2 months and that's it, it's just another shallow mmorpg with zero depth. I've actually reactivated my XI account because of this and although it is not the same game it used to be it's still way closer to an mmo than ffxiv can ever hope to be.

You know, it's funny and a bit sad. I did the exact same thing... and it feels almost exactly the same as the current FFXIV. The sad part is that I originally quit Final Fantasy XI and started playing Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 because I was trying to escape from exactly the same thing I saw taking over FFXIV:ARR from as early as the Alpha stage.

No matter how hard I railed against it in the Alpha and Beta forums, what we got was a shell of what most 1.0 players hoped and dreamed would be the answer to all their prayers.

At least that's what I believe.

When I logged into Alpha and started walking around, questing, and hitting stuff.. I knew something wasn't right. I really wanted to this game to be my next "home". Makes me sad to see what Yoshi did to it. :/
