all the primal HMS are cordination not dps races. other then 1 phase heart phase or spine phase. which neither require more then ilvl 55 weapon. if you know how to do your rotation

I know but people freak out if you dont have the iLvL70 garuda wep, but you are right, heck i got the Ifrit bow, i just gonna join a Titan HM learning party this weekend.

I cleared Titan HM as a BLM with the Ifrit weapon, but my other gear was stellar (I was ilvl70 after a few pieces of gear from CT and my Myth chest).

If you are tanking you can honestly do it with DL armor and just the ilevel 55 weapon, thats how I did it my first kill. Primal Weapon is more important for DPS then it is for the tank, although it does help. Just make sure you have decent armor, tried to help heal for a pug group last night, the PLD tank was in mostly AF / ilevel 55 mix for his left side and accessories were all ilevel 49 or lower, rougly 4.8 or 4.9k HP. We got pass heart phase, but once Titan started using MB, the tank was getting killed left and right even when he was topped off.

You have no idea how much i hate this by the way. Been running Iffrit a lot lately, and many times i will just have two bars up when they come, and have to decide if the group is good enough to get the nails down with that or wait and panic for 3 bars. i usually get yelled at if only 2 bars and use it, but also if i wait for three bars and cut it close. Every other battle seems fine, but that one is a pain. :P

I don't know for sure, but from what I've read successful Interrupts provide a good boost to limit gauge. Less Eruptions being interrupted would slow the progress down from what it was previously.

To the OP. I beat Titan with Darklight Bill, but I was not MT. Had a good group of friends help, this was before 2.1 so I pretty much stuck to the storms eye combo and called out plumes for everyone.

Which is why they drop far more often for DPS than tank. Hell, Paladins don't even get a Titan weapon, just the shield.

Tell me about it... I've done ifrit over 20 times trying to get the Sword for PLD, Gotten 5 of the 9 weapons. I gave up and just did my relic quest.

Wasnt easy, for a week of failures and deaths vs chimera and hydra, and then the primals Hards.

Then when I clear Titan HM for the first time, I get the Shield, just when I was done with theh relic quest XD

Like in Monster Hunter, the reverse psychology of needed drops applies here. If you need something so much, the game will be aware of it and make the RNG hate the crap out of you and never give you anything (even less with a 11% drop rate for each primal weapon.)

My suggestion is dont do Primal HMs for weapons. theres a 8/9th chance you'll be dissapointed.

On the off chance that my FC would be able to help me with titan on WAR, I'm almost worried about being a liability due to low dps from having a DL weapon.
But on Balmung, if you don't have at least an i70 weapon, few people will allow you into a group for Titan HM.

While it's true that having a better weapon makes things easier, Titan HM is not that hard of a fight if people know what they do.
Bwt. if your FC won't help you with getting relic or a titan weapon...I'd go and look for one where people help eachother.

And people recruiting in party finder with ilvl70-80 for Titan HM often don't even have ilvl60 themself and just try to get carried.
ilvl60-65 is enough if people (including tank) can dodge and if you have a WHM+SCH as healers and not 2 WHM or 2 SCH.
