I am getting so tired of farming primal weapons...

I have 5 lvl 50s now and only 2 relics. I've been trying for 50 attempts now to get my WAR axe from either Ifrit or Mog and I'm seriously pulling my hair out here. The fights-- Ifrit especially has gotten longer due to erupts not being able to be stunned as often as before 2.1 so sometimes PUGs can't get the nails down fast enough. While the Moogle Axe is better, it just hasn't dropped for me.

Weapons especially for tanks are so important and yet, I'm stuck with my stupid i55 Darklight Bill because after 50 attepmts at Ifrit and 20 attempts at Mog, not one axe has ever dropped. I can't even get my relic because I need the axe from either Garuda or Mog just to attempt Titan. It's really getting frustrating and the crafted i70 weapons are extremely expensive on my server for not much of an upgrade.

I am really hoping that we can at least get a better solution to this sometime in the near future. I feel like I just can't make any progress in my character at the moment because the RNG loot engine is trolling me.

just get the relic weapon its better anyways or farm titan HM its weapon is better then ifrit. its ilvl 80 now not 70. Or you can just get the primal extreme weapon from the weekly. I'm sure on a relic character you can do the weekly and just get the ilvl 90 axe off the vendor. and you do not need your garuda/ifrit/mog weapon to do titan. Specially after the emnity update. Just use the ilvl 55 crafted weapon thats what i did on my very first 50 pld tank....

Drops from primals can be really bad luck ( thanks SE added Mog that rediculsly easy for ilv 70 farm) . Also depend on job on Balmung hq ilv 70 weapons dropped to 80~100k now , idk 80 not even big gil , this amount you can do in1~2 days w/o working hard .

I have not found a PUG yet that has been able to take down Garuda EX let alone Titan or Ifrit. Otherwise, yeah, that Primal Extreme axe would probably be my first one. On the off chance that my FC would be able to help me with titan on WAR, I'm almost worried about being a liability due to low dps from having a DL weapon. But on Balmung, if you don't have at least an i70 weapon, few people will allow you into a group for Titan HM.

I've been to ifrit hm a few times since 2.1 patch, but "oddly enough", it's mainly been in parties with dragoons that eruption stuns have been an issue, with one or two times it simply being bad pld stunning too late.

You will get resists after about 3 stuns. I'm a warrior and occasionally have been asked to do stun duty and I can only really stun every other one by myself due to the 20 second cooldown, but I've gotten quite a few resists on him and I know I'm the only one stunning. Also the limit bar fills slower in 2.1 if you have too many of the same class in your party (refer to patch notes for this information) which makes getting LB3 for your blm/smn to nuke the nails tougher as well (assuming you get one in your DF party lol)

just do the primals on a class that already has the relic weapon with your FC.... i dont get how people dont understand this jsut go in with a class you are geared enough for and roll on the gear you want.

Ifrit is not hard to stun now. Its just for PLD (assuming no one else is stunning) you get the first 3 stuns, then hes immune for 1 minute. And if the MT is also a PLD and he times his shield swipe he can also interrupt some as well.

But yeah i agree, i have been farming Ifrit HM like crazy for anything good. But all i see is the SCH and SMN crap haha.

You can't. You have to do the primals on the job you are getting your relic for.

i didnt say relic i was talking about the item drop. you said people wont let you in to the group unless you have ilvl 70 weapon. just farm titan hm with one that you are already relic and get the titan weapon. getting relic weapons anymore is a waste with the titan ilvl 80 and primal weekly ilvl 90
