Why I stopped paying for FFXIV

This whole section just reeks of "i'm bad" and "other games aren't as challenging so I'm going to play those." Short of the most crazy insane latency (e.g. 10+ second lag spikes) titan can be totally beaten by anyone capable of learning the fight. He does the same things in the same amount of time in the same order EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It is a 100% scripted battle. You can anticipate things you need to dodge.

Honestly, a 3 second lag spike is more than enough to send you off the edge on Titan. It doesn't matter if you know it's coming, when the time between him starting the skill and your character responding to commands is greater than the time for the skill to finish. I've spent nearly three weeks now unable to do basically any combat because if I tank I'm just a burden on the party and if I dps the mob is probably dead before I can get five attacks to register (and yes, latency CAN be that bad, even to people with decent internet connections).

I way playing 1.0 until the server went down, I cleared the Content even with 300-400ms when the server stability were even more horrible then now. You probably only survive any Encounters like me because you actually move 1 second before the Attack spawns under your feet. While i rarely had any Kind of Server lags with the release of ARR, since the datacenters where released i have. Its not the Players fault that he dont act before the Attack is official launched, its SE's damn Job to fix this Kind of issues.

Forcing People to act before an Attacked is launched is not the way how the Battle should work, it doesnt matter if its a boring Attackpattern or a RNG one.

do you have lag 100% of ur gameplay or just in dungeon / prime fights?

I can notice small latency spikes sometimes in dungeon.

I was curious to see how many posts until someone would come and make a comment about being bad, which seem to be the rule whenever the delay problem is mentionned here. Really, we probably all suffer from collective hallucinations/are compulsive liars.

It's not just in primals, it's everywhere in the game.

love those people that think they're "so good" at this game cause they can beat things. Everyone can beat titan HM without lag. He isn't hard. The ONLY reason to die there is lag.

If you need to start running before the attack actually happens or the markings appear - that doesn't make you "moar sk1lledz" it just means you lag.

I agree with this. Forums aren't there for people to be all hand holding and spreading fuffy butterflies everywhere. They are for discussing things, good or negative (mostly negative). Has been ever since forums existed in ancient times. Lol. I guess a few people don't understand what forum means.

If you have more than that, you shouldn't be gaming, it's not SE's fault, you're not matching the minimum requirements

FREE LOGIN WEEKEND… hmm really there grabbing at straws to boost there slowly falling subs maybe??? i don't see many behemoth mounts running around if it was a winner i would have though there would be more.. this soon into the game sadly they haven't got much to bring ppl back to theres even a fate in the beast tribe dailies now of which is total bullshit for low pop servers!!! ct is fun once or if you want to farm tomes ohh wait wp sr!!! change my hair i think theres 1 or 2 poss diff other than the lightning style lmfao .. as for the lag I'm on ps3 I've basically given up on the titan hm little better when i moved to tonberry for a little while ping to aus is better but the market and the jp only partys etc ruined it .. there was some great ppl there though moved back to n/a . my advice op if you haven't subbed for 3 months or at all come back for 2.2 or 2.3 my guess they may even be a FREE LOGIN WEEK by then

I have near recommended requirement, and notice a delay. Not just in primals, not just in battles I can't beat (I haven't encountered any point in game that I haven't been able to beat yet, though I haven't done everything yet either). Everywhere.

The game recommendations as far as internet connexion goes are the same for PS3, PC minimum, and PC recommended. It simply states "persistant broadband connexion".
Yet, Yoshida said that they "cannot make difficult content" playable with "3 digit ping".

Btw, and to reply to the OP, this is the reason why I stopped paying for this game, too.

290 ms here to n/a server and titan hm is bullshit and i know the fight maybe thats the ps3 aswell .. but then why bring it out on a inferior system … SE fault to me or is it my fault because i play on the ps3!!
