Game runs fine for hard (and extreme) modes under 200-300 MS latency
If you have more than that, you shouldn't be gaming, it's not SE's fault, you're not matching the minimum requirements

I have near recommended requirement, and notice a delay. Not just in primals, not just in battles I can't beat (I haven't encountered any point in game that I haven't been able to beat yet, though I haven't done everything yet either). Everywhere.
The game recommendations as far as internet connexion goes are the same for PS3, PC minimum, and PC recommended. It simply states "persistant broadband connexion".
Yet, Yoshida said that they "cannot make difficult content" playable with "3 digit ping".
Btw, and to reply to the OP, this is the reason why I stopped paying for this game, too.

this is the reason why i stopped paying and playing... i havent logged in for two weeks now and neither do most of my fc, almost 36 players down in one go... the game simply is not worth it, with this bad latency its unplayable, b ut pve screw it i can do it blind folded, now pvp when attacks dont register no matter what id o on top of the guy thats kiting me... now thats where the game tells me to quit... wildstar, elder scrolls online, blade and soul...and so on and on ... so many new mmos coming this year and probably much better designed why bother with an average mmo with bad server locations...

290 ms here to n/a server and titan hm is bullshit and i know the fight maybe thats the ps3 aswell .. but then why bring it out on a inferior system … SE fault to me or is it my fault because i play on the ps3!!
Sure, let SE put the requirements on the box. I see nothing about a perfect connection is required. I have played a few MMO's before this one. FFXI had similar issues to the latency here, but then again you didn't have to dodge or die. Latency is by far the worst on FFXIV that i have seen on many of the MMO's i've played. And the sad part was, 2 of them were free to play MMO's. The reason i'm all for subscription MMO's is so this crap doesn't happen. So here we are, still dealing with massive latency AND paying $14.99 a month? SE must have great marketing skills to pull this off.
it's not a matter of matching minimum requirements.
I have an Alienware M14x Laptop, which runs the game on High settings across the board, with no lag whatsoever.
I have a 20mb cable internet connection, and my latency is usually in the 30-50ms range.
what I have SHOULD be sufficient to run this game with ZERO issues, and for the most part, it is. EXCEPT for this one specific issue.
the issue is still there. I see it all the time. particularly in Trials and FATEs.
you see red circle. you *immediately* move out of red circle. 2 seconds after you move out of red circle, red circle disappears, red arrow points to you. half-a-second later you take damage from red circle attack that you moved out of well before the attack launched.
happens all the time. the way I get around this, is to sprint WAAAAAAAAAAAY outside of combat range. as far as I can possibly get before the attack launches. but i shouldn't have to go that far. I should be able to dodge out of the telegraph, yet remain in combat range.
Playing The Secret World, the difference in THIS particular issue is staggering. you don't have to move away from the telegraphs BEFORE they appear, because the telegraph hit detection is ACCURATE. hell it's so accurate that you can actually wait until the last second to jump out of the telegraph. and literally standing RIGHT OUTSIDE the telegraph, it doesn't touch you. Not in the telegraph = not taking damage from it.
simple as that.
this is a problem with the game, not with our computers. not with our internet connections.
to try and simplify this down to "ur pc bad huehuehuehuehuehuehue get better internet" is just plain silly.
