L2VPN or pingzapper.com; it's not SE's fault.
I do use pingzapper and that's good, but it actualli is SE fault.
First of all the server refresh rate is 0.3s (now 0.1s only in some instances) that is pretty high. Also the fact that we need a VPN means that SE did not set up proper contracts with european providers, despite not having an EU datacenter and having EU players pay as much as japanese and american players.
So it IS SE fault.
I play other mmos on american servers from europe and i do not experience any latency there. even free MMOS.

While network latency isn't Square-Enix's fault due to a wide number of factors, coding their software to be playable under these circumstances is their responsibility.
Nowhere on the box or on the official game website or any other promotional material does it state that VPN, Pingzapper or any other form of latency reducing service is required or recommended.
So if the solution to making part of the game playable is requiring a second (unlicensed 3rd-party) paid service, then it absolutely IS Square-Enix's fault.
Are the 100ms just a guess? Just because you don't have that problem on other mmos doesn't mean your ISP is not at fault here. You could try installing the wtfast trial to check your ping that way and see if that tool solves your problem. As far as I know for wtfast you have to select a wtfast server close to the data center location in order to get the best performance but I might be wrong.

Nope, it's not a guess. In ARR my latency goes about ~100 ms while in other games about ~50 ms, but that shouldn't create any visible difference at all (it's only 0.05 second difference) so I don't think that's a problem on my end.Are the 100ms just a guess? Diablo 3, DotA 2, LoL, WoT, WoW, PoE and all the other online games I have run perfectly with zero lag, except this one.
hmm. that is kinda strange.Nope, it's not a guess. In ARR my latency goes about ~100 ms while in other games about ~50 ms, but that shouldn't create any visible difference at all (it's only 0.05 second difference) so I don't think that's a problem on my end.
