She'll only cast it whenever she feels like it if your SCH is bad and leaves Eos on Sic instead of Obey. If you leave her on Sic, you're basically wasting everything but Embrace.

Surprising how many bad players there are in DF queues.

This same situation happened 3 times in a row, so they've switched me as MT to OT..

..and now they are still blaming me for this

So, I would like to know from the other PLD in this game. Did this happen to you too and if not, how do you keep aggro if 'the boss' is going straight to the Scholar/Healer after a shieldlob?
You're shield lobbing too soon. Wait till you are closer to the boss before you lob.

I've never seen that be an issue. I normally lob at max range. My group is also generally running to their positions while I'm charging forward and opening up on the move north.

I see it all the time with healers trying to perfectly time a shield or something the millisecond before you pull. Plus pulling closer to the boss, and not at max range makes positioning the boss easier, because the boss moves a few steps forward if you lob at max range.

Sorry, but this is bad advice. You shouldn't be using Provoke to pull a mob or boss ever unless it's a distance thing (Succubus in AK, etc). Flash is also not useless, it generates a significant amount of enmity at the start of a fight.

To the OP: If you're having issues with your pull for Garuda try mixing up your pull rotation a bit. When I pull a boss (regardless of which one) I pop Fight or Flight/Bloodbath and pull with Shield Lob. As I reach the boss I pop Circle of Scorn and then follow up with a quick Flash. After that you should be good to just start working on your normal rotation. I've also found weaving Scorn and Spirits in between your GCDs works better than popping both right at the same time.

Who uses Eos on garuda ex anyway? There's hardly anything that warrants any of its CDs unless you're solo healing. Anyway, most scholars as people have said pre-shield before the fight. Wait til you see the green buff on everyone then pull. Green means go.

Honestly the fact that there are sch playing that don't immediately put there fairy on steady is crazy to me. Pop in fight, fairy on stead, start buffing if there isn't a whm in the party, everyone's read, click on main boss and hit obey. If you aren't using stead/obey as a sch start, if its too hard, go play whm, sch is a micro managing healing class not a macro one like whm, it takes micro managing heals and your fairy, they should know that by Garuda.

I don't really have a lot of sympathy for bad healers, as I mainly play healers in all mmos, but it seems XIV has a alarming rate of crappy healers, who feel because they put on the whm or sch soul stone, they are blameless, when many just seem like dds in healer skins to me. If you ever encounter that again, tell the sch to put there fairy on steady and obey, and stop being such a terrible player, and also to succor during the buffing time period (if they need that, who does that? its not needed), and not during the pull, what an idiot, needs to go back through some dungeons lower level and relearn their job or something. Sorry just people blaming tanks for their own crappy playing really ticks me off, as I play healer, my boyfriend plays tank, I've just seen so many times people try to blame him for them just being crappy, I've seen healers blame him for stuff they've done "omg you had keep hate off of me cure spamming as a whm?!?!?!?" and stuff like that. Total BS. As a healer, I'm looking at the party list a lot, and I can see what abilities people are using, I can almost always tell if the the other healer is going crazy and is going to steal hate, the fact that people don't chill out for 3-5 secs after the pull is crazy, and the fact that people don't watch their hate bars during a fight is crazy. People see full hate bars as epeen.
